Birdie I'll be thinking of you, you have a scan Monday anyway right? I don't envy you the wait and hope your bean is ok
littlemiss I hope you get your scan too
Feeling a bit more optimistic today after being convinced yesterday that a lack of symptoms meant it was all over but I felt really sick this morning and I'm well bloated so fingers crossed all is well
I can't decide if I want to find out, doesn't really make a difference to me but at the same time I have no patience and can't hold my own water so I probably will if it can be seen on scan. I don't think I'll tell everyone think though and definitely wouldn't tell name, I find it strange when babies are publicly named before they're born, I think it takes some of the excitement of them being born away.but I realise that's odd lol
welcome Fran, my first pregnancy was a mmc too so I understand your fears. I've booked a reassurance scan for next Sunday (8 days!) As the worst part for me last time was that I didn't know for 6 weeks that my baby had stopped growing so at least I'll know sooner this time if it's happened again xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Birdie - I had a little spotting about a week ago but there was no pain or cramping so midwife told me it would probably go away. I hope you get some reassurance from someone medical soon.
lilmissmup - Congratulations once again and welcome:hello:
frano-o - Nice to meet you. Hope everything goes smoothly for you this time.
TL - Good Luck at your scan. We haven't really discussed names yet. I think that its better to meet the little person before a name is decided. However we have agreed not to name after family members.
Regarding gender - If they offer to tell us the sex I am curious to know but I don't plan on going out of my way to find out before the birth (although I have no preference either way - just so damn happy to finally be pregnant:))0 -

Where I went they don't offer they only look if you ask. Sonographer was like "right all done" DH "what about the sex?!?" He was gagging to know :rotfl: I had to get back on the bed and more gel on my belly just to see if the LO had bits!! She didn't and then Isabella popped out. We'll find out with this one as well can't wait for over 5 mths!!Got married 13/11/10

So... I'm totally not trying to panic but I'm spotting. Fresh blood.
What the hell am I supposed to do since the EPU is only open Mon-Fri?
Thinking of you lots Birdie - I know it's far too easy for me to say, and much more difficult to do, but please try to worry as little as possible. Am I right in thinking you're about 5 weeks along? Could well be implantation spotting, and the leaflet the EPU gave me when I also had some spotting at around 6 weeks says that around 1 in 3 women will have some bleeding before week 8. It cautions against heavy lifting and sex whilst you're bleeding, but I guess I'm only telling you things you already knowEven though you're too early for a scan, do you think the docs would be willing to check your hCG levels and make sure they're increasing appropriately? It could give you some reassurance before the scan. Also, if it gets heavier or you have any pain, please go to A&E :grouphug:
Welcome to fran-o  I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy. It's great that your boss is being so supportive, although your commute sounds hideous! I honestly don't know how people cope with long journeys to work... I resent being there enough without having to spend the rest of my day travelling there and back :rotfl:
TL - Glad you've been reassured by your symptoms, although I hope they're not too severe IYSWIM.
Lilmissmup - Really hope the bleeding settles down and that you have a very reassuring scan.
Lily - I'm also booking a gender confirmation scan at around 16 weeks. My Mum is coming to the 12 week scan, so DH's parents were determined not to be outdone and are paying for a private scan closer to them :rotfl: They did ask if it was okay, and something I would like to do - I realise I've just made them sound like right control freaks! They're very excited as it's their first grandchild and there's been a lot of sad news in the family recently. Also, DH is absolutely desperate to find out... he was devastated when I told him they wouldn't know at the 12 week scan
Samtoby - My DH made me a garlic bread pizza last night (I have an allergy to tomato seeds so can't eat normal pizza)... couldn't help but think of you :rotfl:0 -
Birdie - Has the bleeding settled down? Xx14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130

TeamLowe, I feel exactly the same about baby names and I've been struggling to explain this to family and friends.
Regarding the sex of our little one, we don't want to know, we'll wait till it's out to have the surprise

Hi again! Thanks for the words of reassurance, really means a lot that you're thinking of me.
Bleeding seems to have settled down now so I'm feeling a little better now. Going to keep an eye on things and when I go to (try to...) have my blood tests on Monday I'll mention it then.
Trying to keep relaxed and OH is being very good... he's been running around after me all afternoon and has cancelled our walk out tomorrow as I said I had to rest.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary.
