Hello ladies...not been on the baby forums since 2010 (DS now 2 years and 3 months). It's amazing how much you forget...only 4-5 weeks in and already it has been a very different experience to last time. After 4 days of very feint lines I did a clearblue this afternoon (couldn't wait until morning :o) and the words were confirmed in black and white :j So happy!! Can't even remember what to do next...do I make a docs appointment or can I just make a booking appointment with the midwife? It's so early on I don't want to rush or tempt fate. I thought I was about 5weeks but the test says 3-4. I had implantation spotting on the 29th/30th April (this was all new to me and never happened last time). Is it possible that this is from the 24th April or do you think it's more likely to be from the 14th April? Sorry to bombard with questions but I have no idea of my ov date and coming straight off the pill didn't have a last period :o

Hope everyone's well this weekend and enjoying the bank holiday :) I have been sick a few times over the past few days, but everything seems to have settled down now... I'm really hoping my pregnancy continues like this :D

I've got myself all worried. Spotted a bit today, no pain and looks very light.

  • Hello again everyone

Lily - so pleased all is going well - that's a brilliant rise in levels:j. Hope the scan goes well too x

Vic - I'm similar, feel ok most of the day, just a little queasy then feel worse later on. Not been sick though.

cpoir - welcome and congrats. I just went to the Doctor's reception and they gave me a pack with a number to ring for the midwife. It may be different in different areas though.. The digi tests are dating from conception while mostly people date from LMP so I'm not sure how 'pregnant' you are really. If you've only had faint positives then I'd guess maybe 4 weeks (I got a faint positive at 3 1/2 weeks or so).

Amy - glad the sickness has settled and you enjoy the rest of your long weekend. I'm quite jealous of the sickness as I'd love more definite signs that all is ok!

AFM - had the scan yesterday - got dated ahead at 8+3 (19mm CRL) and heartbeat measured 182 so was really pleased. Then came home and even managed to find the heartbeat with my home doppler twice. However, couldn't find it again last night nor today (tried a few times) and think my tests aren't as strong as before so getting really worried. For some reason I just have a bad feeling about everything. Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

    TP (9+6, really 8+4/7+6??) x
  • Vic - posted my message before I'd seen yours. A bit of spotting is meant to be normal, especially without any pain. To be honest though with my anxiety it would really scare me too if I noticed that. If it gets any worse I'd be tempted to call NHS direct and see what they say or maybe even ring the Early pregnancy unit nearby. Sorry I'm not much more use.. Hope it eases off and is nothing x

Thanks hun. I'm not panicking just yet as it is quite light and no pain at all. I will see if it eases and check with midwife on Tuesday. Hopefully it will amount to nothing. X

What colour is it hun? If it's red or getting heavier then maybe it's time to call the EPU? If it's brown though then it's probably nothing to worry about - had you recently had sex (sorry if TMI), I'm still spotting from the internal scan. Hope it clears up soon and proves to be nothing.

I think a few people have found that tests start getting lighter around that stage due to the high levels of hCG, sometimes you can actually get a darker result by diluting urine :o The scan and heartbeat is a really good sign, as is you being able to find the hb with the doppler - I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry if you struggle to find it every time. Baby's position and the fullness of your bladder, etc can make a huge difference.
