Hi amy. I too wouldn't have thought that the scan would have made you bleed for this long.. I'd try not to worry too much though as spotting is meant to be very common (but TBH whenever I read that it doesn't help me - not spotted much today though). Can you try an EPU of another hospital close to you? I found this link http://earlypregnancy.org.uk/FindUsMap.asp and there were several close to me that accepted self-referrals (hence I'm getting my scan on Thursday). If it gets heavier/accompanied by pain, you could always try A and E.. Hope you're ok, all this 'waiting and seeing' is awful isn't it. xx0

Unfortunately it seems that all the other EPUs near me are already closed or only accept professional referrals. Is it bad that I'm tempted to go for a private scan? I bet they're probably closed for the bank holiday too thoughI am too impatient, and there's nothing they'd be able to do anyway
I hope your scan is good news, and am glad to hear that the spotting has settled down for you

It's definitely not bad that you're tempted to pay for a scan - I spent this morning ringing round trying to find somewhere private that was open today but no luck:o.. I've actually managed to find somewhere though for tomorrow after work so I'm going with that before the hospital one on Thursday (which hopefully if tomorrow goes ok I won't need). This baby is costing me a fortune and it's not even due until December! You're right there's not much that can be done for us at this stage anyway so the only thing working for me is to keep busy and try to stay away from Google! Will keep my fingers crossed for you x0

Amy how many weeks are you? I had spotting and pain in my last pregnancy around the time I would normally have been due a period. I also had spotting with this one at 5+5 (I think) but was all ok - I'm 15+1 now. Try not to worry, I know it's hard, so hard. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Thoughts please - bless you, we did warn that dopplers are great if you can honestly tell yourself not to expect to find the heart beat each time. I didn't buy mine until practically 10weeks but even then there were times I couldn't find it. I personally find it easier with an empty bladder but everyone is different. I also only allowed myself to try to hear it 3 times a week as I know I can get obsessive!DD1 June 1997

Hope things ease for you Amy, I know how worried you must feel. I havr convinced myself I am getting bad news tomorrow. I am so scared I feel sick even thinking about it.
Fingers crossed for you xx14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
Thinking of you Lily and hope that tomorrow brings much better news than you're expecting.
AngelMommy, I'm 6+5 and realistically my period probably would be due around now, and all blood has been brown. I still have ridiculously tender breasts and have been sick twice today, so no real abating of symptoms either. It's all really reassuring, I'm just a worrier. I had a scan on Friday which showed a heartbeat, a fetal pole of 1.6mm (dead on for dates), yolk and sac so I shouldn't get so twitched. It's always good to hear that others went through similar and had healthy pregnancies though IYSWIM.
Thoughts_please, I know what you mean about needing to step away from Google! I hope the scan tomorrow shows everything you're wanting and that we can all finally start to relax. Maybe I should go for a scan tomorrow too, then you, Lily and me can all crack open the decaffeinated tea and celebrate tomorrow night!

Good luck tomorrow lily.
My spotting seems to have gone completely. I'm gonna put it down to doing lots of walking over the weekend.DS born November 2013 :smileyhea0 -
Booo for the spotting ladies. Hope you are all ok.
Lots of luck for tomorrow Lily, and so pleased your bloods came back ok too.
I've got my scan on weds and I'm a wee bit nervous for it now. Have been away for the weekend, so that has been a lovely distraction. Just hope everything is going ok in there...

Oh god i'm absolutely sh1tting myself. I am almost certain things have ended. My 'symptoms' have all but gone and I just don't feel pregnant anymore.
I feel totally distraught. I know its ridiculous and there is nothing I can do to change anything. What will be will be and I just have to accept it, I just
feel so upset.14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
Good luck and best wishes to everyone with scans in the next few days, sending extra positive vibes to you Lily. I know nothing I can say will make it better, so sending you internet *hugs* instead x0
