Levels are good. Can't read too much into them as it's a 1 off result and you need a series done over a few days. The number is well within normal limits however.
Because this pregnancy has come straight off the back of a miscarriage I can't be sure of dates. If I make an educated guess at ovulation I would be about 5+1 or 5+2, so it would be highly unusual to see anything more than just a sac.
But the pain and bleeding still isn't normal and this has ruined my last day of holiday. I just don't think I can cry any more. I feel so stressed that I am actually totally calm.
Really sorry. Hoping that the pain/bleeding is completely random, especially as all the other signs are good/to be expected at this stage. I know it won't stop you stressing/worrying though. What do the hospital say?0 -
Awwww Lily
Whats next? Are they checking your levels again in the next day or 2? Do you have to stay in hospital? Fingers crossed its just too early to see the foetal pole and things will all work out. When I was scanned at 6+1 you couldn't see the foetal pole as it was so close to the edge of the sac. So sorry its spoiling your holiday. Will keep my fingers crossed for you. Big hugs xxxxx
Amyloofoo - Fingers crossed for tomorrow's scan. Glad they were able to fit you in before the bank holiday. Boo for fainting and feeling rubbish tho. Hope you are able to rest up and relax as much as pos.Married my lobster in July 2011

Thanks girls. I have just discharged myself. I have to go back to my own hospital next week for a re-scan. The results so far are 'inconclusive'.
Thank you for your well wishes. I've just got home to DS who makes even the most horrible situation seem a little bitMore bearable.14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
Sorry to hear your news Toooldforthis
Lilymay1 I hope you feel better soon.
Had a few dramas at our scan yesterday morning but thankfully the important bit was ok, and it's 1 not 2 as my OH previously had her suspicions!
Met with the 'high risk' oncologist which was a bit stressful, finding out lots of things we hadn't know previously. She has been put on 75mg of Aspirin which apparently can help her to avoid pre-eclampsia later in the pregnancy which she is at risk of with her diabetes. We didn't think Aspirin was good during pregnancy but this oncologist said there were 'no risks' which seems hard to believe. As long as the benefits outweigh the risks then I guess that ok!
Estimated at 12 weeks 4d yesterday which was what we'd thought, due date is November 9th. They can't tell anything else at the moment but we've gone for the DS test via measuring the fluid at the back of the neck in combination with a blood test.
All very stressful!!!

Lily, I hope your LO has managed to cheer you up and that there's good news when you go back to hospital.
My scan this morning was good - she could only see a sack and yolk with the abdo u/s, so ended up having an internal as well. Dildo cam showed little baby Foo with a strong heartbeat measuring all of 1.6mm :j She thinks the pain may have been from a cyst she's picked up on, so they're wanting to keep an eye on that.
Since the internal I've had some brown spotting, but judging from Dr Google's responses, it seems as though this is pretty normal so I'm not too concerned.
Here's hoping it's smooth sailing from now on! I took Mum, Dad and little Nephew for lunch as a treat, so he's been showing me what I can look forward to in around 2 years... :eek:0
