  • Too old - I am so sorry to hear your news. I really do wish you all the best and hope tomorrow goes as well as can be expected x

Flower - what a confusing situation, it must be hard to hear that kind of news. I'm pleased the other baby is looking well and hope you're doing ok x

Amy 85 - I've been quite bad with bloating etc so know what you mean, I'm hoping it stops soon for both of us.

Amy L-F - hope you enjoyed the meal :).

Dunclane - that's great news about the numbers doubling:).

On the 'finding out' front - I want to know and my husband is not bothered either way. I'm not bothered what sex we have (as long as it's healthy etc) but would like to be prepared in advance.

    Hope everyone's well, TP (9+2, really 7+2) x

Flower - sorry to hear your bitter-sweet news too, must be a lot to take in. Hope you're looking after yourself for the sticky bean. Xxx

Today is not a good day... I'm having constant cramps on the left side of my uterus, have fainted twice and have horrible back / shoulder pain. Just trying not to get too wound up about it all... is paracetamol fine to take at this stage? I'm sure it must be as we give it to ladies all the time, but the ladies on here seem to be more knowledgeable than most doctors :rotfl:

Misscoupon, the first appointment wasn't really too helpful... just a brief discussion about initial preferences for antenatal care and discussion of family and personal history and any enhanced screening you may need. It's probably best to go with questions written down if you want to ask anything as the whole thing can be quite rushed and you're out before you know it!

Amy.. are you 'bunged up'?? Constipation usually gives pain in the left side. Yes paracetamol is fine.. but, I'm sorry you will hate me for this.. if there is any possibility it may be ectopic please get things checked out, it can be very dangerous. Shoulder pain being the worrying thing for me.. sometimes there will be light bleeding but often there is none at all... Actually, now I am concerned about you... ring the EPU/MW.. I'd rather you were safe.

I've had quite a bit of left-side pain (never right, just left) and all has been OK, but agree with pigpen to get it checked out just in case.

Even if it's a false alarm the EPU may give you a scan so you can see your baby - definitely worth it ;)

I was just about to say the same thing as PigPen, if there is any chance get it checked out. Shoulder pain is one of the only signs.

Thanks guys, I'm going in at 11:30 just to get checked out. I've not had any problems with my bowels, but do have pre-existing back problems and low blood pressure so my symptoms are probably nothing to worry about but definitely worth making sure. I'll let you all know :grouphug:
