Vic, they booked my 16 week apt and rang through for the scan date while I went and did a wee sample. Your area must work differently and I presume they will write to you with a scan date instead.
Lilly - Must have been a bit of a worry for you, but I presume the baby had a heartbeat etc - so try not to worry too much. Dating in the early stages can be quite far out. If I was dated from LMP then I would be 10+4 now, whereas I am actually 9+0 because I track my cycles and know when I ovulate. I have had even longer cycles as well which could have easily effected the date by 2-3 weeks. Doctors very rarely listen to cycle information, ovulation dates etc and nearly always date you from LMP (the first day of your last menstral period) Also, the measurement they do in ultrasound is not an exact science - especially if the baby is moving around. They are trying to get a measurement from rump to crown (if memory serves right) and if the baby is scrunched up or in the wrong position this can effect the dating. I hope the scan in a couple of weeks puts your mind at rest with everything, and that everything is where it should be.
Trina - super news from your scan :j I didn't think they would bother with a urine sample at a scan - thought it was just midwife appts where they asked for one. Least you have a bottle for next time
Optimistic mummy - Welcome and congratulations :j If I were you I would go to see the GP given your cerebral palsy. If it is a straight forward pregnancy you normally just need to be referred to the midwives (in my area you just fill out a form at the doctors reception) but if there are any complications with medical history, then it doesn't hurt to just have a quick chat with your GP and get you on to the system.
AFM - I have a rash on my back this morning. Its a bit itchy and made up of red spots. Not sure whether to try and get to the gp or anything, as if I wasn't pregnant I wouldn't be worried about it. I tried to get DD to take a photo of it but it was very blurry :rotfl: Its just in the wrong kind of place to be able to see it properly tho! Might wait for DH to have a look later and re-assess in the morning. If its still there or gotten worse I will make an appt tomorrow I think....Married my lobster in July 2011
