Thank you ladies, was awesome! Oldest cried happy tears and youngest was in complete shock. They took it in turns to call the family and have a picture each to take into school tomorrow and are now excited to go in and show their friends. 3 happy ladies in this house today. :-)
Was told to bring in a urine sample and wasn't asked for it so had it sitting in my bag for hours before I remembered - yuk!

All the best for Wednesday TTC40. X

Hope Lilly's scan went well. X

i really need to start posting more! ive just been totally out of it the last few weeks.
this is going to be a really stupid question i know, ive got to take a urne sample to my scan appointment tomorrow.....what do you put it in?? i dont have any specimen tubs or anything like that, are they supposed to give you one to use?
i have to go right from work and im not carrying that around all day so ill likely not take 1 with me and hope for the best

They won't want one. If they do, they tell you to go with a full bladder so I'm sure you could squeeze one out there.

Today is the 1st day I've felt properly pants :(
Dizzy, nauseous, headache. I really hope this doesn't continue for much longer :( have felt a little nauseous in the mornings for about a week but I've been fine as long as I eat my breakfast as soon as I'm up. But today is the 1st day it's continued :(

The midwife still hasn't contacted me regarding booking appointment. I went to drs and filled out forms, given sample at 4-5 weeks I'm now 8+4. Was told by drs that booking appointment is supposed to be 8-10 weeks so I suppose they still have another week and a half to get me in. Would anyone recommend calling drs to find out? Or should I wait a bit?

    Hope everyone is well x

    You are perfectly normal!!!!!

You could speak to your GP or nurse or family planning clinic or even a midwife at the hospital for some impartial advice if you need to speak to someone in the real world.

Give yourself a few days to get your head round the whole thing. It takes time, especially if it was a surprise. At the moment go with the crying!

You have lots of time to decide whether or not you want to continue with the pregnancy so just focus on yourself until the shock has worn off and then you and OH can have a proper discussion about it. Don't feel pressured into anything, whatever decision you make you have to live with for the rest of your life so you have to be happy with that decision.

    BIG BIG hugs.

  • Many thanks pigpen... I feel really guilty I'm not happy about it, just extremely anxious. We came back from a trip abroad yesterday too and I'm exhausted and jet-lagged, and I feel I can't sleep as my head does not stop for a second... although I'm 39 I don't have any close frieds with kids and dunno who to turn to for advice.

Thanks for ur support again, it means a lot.
