Hi. Sorry to hear you're all having such trouble sleeping, but glad it's not just me! I keep waking up wide awake at 5 then lying awake worrying about things instead of going back to sleep!
I used to be such a night owl, up all night and sleeping all day, but nowadays I'm out like a light by 9 and up at 7am!! Crazy.
Had a lovely scan - saw baby jumping around. Got told off for having a full bladder! Apparently my hospital likes an empty one but since I'd had some water in the car I had to pee 3 times to keep emptying my bladder!
The sonographer was lovely very cheerful and made a few little jokes to put us at easehe said everything looked good, although it was hard for them to see cos of baby's positioning, which meant it took a long time. Saw some people go in and out in about 15 mins, we were in there for about 40! Felt great to see baby for that long. Such a surreal feeling though, watching it jump and wave on the screen was cool but it was hard to comprehend that it's inside me!!! Hehe!
Got moved ahead a few days so I'm now 12+5! Guess I'll be moving on to the next board!!
We bought a little baby outfit to celebrate our good scan but not buying anything else until the 20 week scan is done. I'm still scared of jinxing it
Hope you're all having lovely weekends and happy bumps0 -
Aw Poppy sounds like a lovely scan
I'm feeling rubbish! Also struggling to sleep but constantly tired. I'm feeling v weak and faint today my iron supplements don't seem to be helping. I have managed to eat a decent amount today although its hard when I suddenly feel sick in the middle of eatingkeep freaking out my scan this week is going to go horribly wrong, I feel pretty pregnant but you never know...

Scan tomorrow! Excited and (thanks to the Doppler) a little bit freaked out! When we were pg end of last year, hubby reminded me he has 2 sets of twins in his family. DD (8yo) said I may even have twadlets! Lol triplets to you and me. This time round, I found heartbeat on my far left the first time then a few days later I found it on my far right. Baby been there every time i checked - until yesterday - found him/her on far left again! Remembering the twins/twadlets convo, I checked both sides this morning and found a heartbeat on both sides!!!!! There was a min or two in between finding them so I'm hoping baby just likes to move about but I'm also aware I have a bicornuate uterus which means there's a lot less room than in a normal uterus.
I suppose I would just cope with two but Blimey there are already significant risks (breach/low weight/miscarriage) etc just with one thanks to my BU. He/she better be playing hide n seek lol. Sorry, can't speak to hubby and nobody knows until tomorrow so have to unload on you guys.DD1 June 1997

In the space of 2 minutes the MW found a hb of about 120 bpm on my left and 135bpm on the right... and she thought there were probably 2... but there is just 1.. just a quick mover!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Hello there - I'm having twins :eek:it's taken a while to get my head around it (& all the risks etc).
In terms of twins in the family I'm told it goes down the mother's side, as it's a case of releasing two eggs at once (for fraternal twins anyway) which the father/sperm has no control over. However saying this there's nothing to stop you having twins without it being in your family
Let us know how you get on!0 -
hi everyone
Im 6 + 6
first baby
I had a brown coloured discharge on friday afternoon.
I then noticed today a similar coloured stain on my pants today, but no discharge (hope that makes sense)
I have looked it up online & doesnt seem to be a concern - possibly implantation bleed?
I am seeing my doctor 2moro as she said I had to have a flu jab seeing as I'm pregnant & flu is still circulating etc.
Sorry if that is TMI for anyone0 -
Good luck Angel - I'm sure two would be a double blessing - but one would be good too!
As I have had scans already I know it's just the one - which is fine by me (although I would be saying exactly the same if it was two).
Scan day is Wednesday for us. Can't come soon enough. Are we meant to go with a full bladder or not?
Not had any pg symptoms for the last couple of days - so that's something to have a little worry about ..... when I'm feeling nauseous I wish it would go away - so we truely are never happy!
Hope everyone has a healthy week. Who else is having scans this week?
11 + 60 -
Pigpen - thank you, I hope mine is the same! However, there is apparently a 'wall' going down the centre of my odd shaped uterus apparently making baby stay generally one side or the other. Really hope it's more a fast mover though!
Sweaty - wow double congrats to you! I know I would be happy with 2, I just hadn't really considered it previously. Do you have others? I already have 2 and jumping to 4 scares me a little lol.
Credit crunch - sorry I don't know although I did have a pink/blood once when I wiped after a wee - was about 6wks then. All (touch wood) has been fine since.
Ttc40 - my hospital letter says to go with a full bladder. My symptoms are easing off a bit too - slept all through night last night without needing the loo (yay) and nausea isn't as bad although still some foods etc I can't stomach (and milk!).
One little question - the 12wk worry period - is it until 12wks or actually until 13wks?? I desperately want to dye my hair and paint my nails etc! I can't remember which it is lol. X

11+6
13 weeks.
Why would you not paint your nails lol???.. what a crazy idea.. nails are dead tissue so nothing would be absorbed to the blood stream because it has no supply and nail polish doesn't contain lead like it used to so it doesn't matter if you eat it.. have you seen my nails???
Even that is a new one on me!!
Dyeing your hair is questionable tbh.. there isn't really concrete evidence of the chemicals being passed to a foetus since they use completely different dyes now to many years ago.. I'd be more concerned about bleaching your hair but I think the effects must be pretty questionable pregnant or not. Have you spoken to a hairdresser about it rather than just googling it? There is more chance of your hair going an odd colour apparently but that is about it. You could always just use henna dyes.. all natural stuff and all that.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
