Really good to hear so much good news today!

I have my scan tomorrow. Hoping it's OK, I had one last Friday because of (more) bleeding and all was fine, but have set myself a "relax you're out of your first trimester" date of 13w, which is Monday, so tomorrow might help me realise that things are going to be OK.

In other news, although I'm only 12w2d I'm in maternity clothes and looking huge already. I'm trying to avoid telling people until Monday, and putting off telling more work people (told my boss and team so far) for as long as possible. However, in a meeting today one of the women came up to me and asked "so when's it due?"! I tried to play innocent, but she was having none of it, then I said "I'm trying to keep it a secret for as long as possible" and she replied "you're never going to be able to keep that a secret!". She's right, I look about 5 months pregnant, or as if I've stuffed a football down my top. It's going to be tricky keeping it quiet I think...

So pleased to see lots of happy news this week!!! I am so pleased for you all xx

Betty.. I am pretty huge too.. I can still fasten my winter coat but it is a struggle so no one at school has dared ask yet. I don't speak to any of the other parents really so it just comes across as exceptionally rude when they ask... it feels like they are just being nosey given they don't talk to me otherwise.

:j:j Great news on ALL the scans today.:j:j

Totally agree on the food discussions - when I need to eat it has GOT to happen! Was in a meeting all morning & had to have a cereal bar & banana during the meeting.

Got a bump but it's a shift of fat so not noticeable! I've lost 7-10lb since being pg so trousers are actually a little loser.

Going to tell my boss tomorrow - so can explain the eating! Scan is next Wednesday & I figure if it's good news I would tell her then but also would need to tell her if it's not good news as I would need time off. [STRIKE]Think[/STRIKE] know she'll be amazed - it will be unexpected!

Feel generally OK at the moment but will be wishing the week away to get the scan & graduate to the next thread with 'my mates' who are heading there now!

    11 + 2
  • I feel huge but then im overweight anyway and being pregnant threee times in 9 months has played havoc with my body

Gonna miss everyone when they graduate .... got three weeks today til my next scan and will be 12+5 then so will catch you all up then x

What a lovely, happy board this is today. Huge congrats to all the graduates. Nearly our turn TTC40 - I'm nervously getting excited. Scan on Monday - eek!

Food - I'm the same. I have to eat like all the time or I really retch and can sometimes actually get sick. I don't seem to fancy anything at all so have to think about what I can cook and whether I could keep that down or not. I keep telling myself nausea is a good sign and it will hopefully calm down soon. Very difficult as kids and work don't know yet but think I'm getting every bug going lol.

    Morning all,

So good to see so many happy scans taking place! I have mine next Friday, will be 11+6 then. Really can't wait now.

I had my booking in appointment on Monday with the Midwife and got my maternity record. All very real now.

I went against my better judgement and bought a fetal heartbeat monitor. I wasn't going to as I thought I might freak myself out if I couldn't find anything, but after some perseverance, I finally found the baby's heartbeat this morning. This cheered me up no end after yet another nights bad sleep. :D

Hope you are all keeping well!

Hello there, pleased to report a successful scan today. Had the NT scan which was all within range too. Didn't have the blood test because they forgot to offer it (!) and tbh I'd have opted out anyway.

I'll be moving up to the next thread but will still lurk here - hope it goes smoothly for you all :-)

Cheryl - they're great, aren't they. I've had an awful week with lots of sobbing, unable to eat properly etc so have been very worried but managed to find heartbeat each morning - massively put my mind at rest. I couldn't find it the first few times when i bought it couple weeks ago but didn't panic thankfully. I'm 11+3.

Betty - congrats on the scan, so many graduating to the next thread.:T

Hi everyone. So glad to see so many good news scans. I have my 8 week midwife appointment on Tuesday and am expecting to be referred to a consultant due to previous medical issues.
We need some newbies on here cos pretty soon there will only be a few of us. Really hoping to see some familiar names from the ttc threads here soon.
