Evening everyone, how are you all? Lots of exciting talk - making babies sound scarily grown up  but a wonderful plan, I wish you lots of luck Thriftylass
Glad the Ideal Home Show was interesting. I have a feeling I'd want to buy a Vitamix if I ever saw one being demonstrated so maybe it's a good thing that I'm off to the event next door on Sunday instead. I blagged a free ticket to the Vitality Show so I'll see what snippets of info I can come back with for all you budding health buffs.
So, with the exception on one little night shift midweek, I'm now off work for a fortnight's staycation! Operation clearout is about to swing into action - my clutter should be very afraidI also plan to do lots of the free stuff in London that I never have time to do, find as many money making ventures as I can...oh, and a daily yoga class as well.
Another NSD today so my budgets are intact for another day. It's my friend's birthday next week and I plan to spend the rest of my misc budget having a lovely brunch catch up (after a yoga class or after a long lie??!)
Got a whopping £1.20 payout from Quidco (gotta love the Check-In App) so my money made figure is the only that has changed...
SFD = 16
Food Spends = £49.19/£50
Petrol Spends = £50/£50
Misc Spends = £84.10/£100
Money made = £134.74/£1000 -
Another sfd yesterday.
Will have to go into town today to get some bits, as I've not been out all week cupboards are bare. DS2 is on the mend (albeit very slowly).
Have a great weekend and stay warm!!0 -
Morning all - I am really sorry that I have been missing in action - Ofsted came calling - for the teachers out there need I say more!
Anyway - financial update - its my end of month this weekend and I ahve been looking at the figures. Despite a wobble earlier on the total debt has been reduced by over £400 this month and £2229.46 in total (big up to Kat here for her inspiration). As work out the totals each month and adjust my snowball so the debt free date comes ever closer - currently its Nov 2017 but I am hoping to move it to Dec 2016.
I also had a ;ittle bit of good news. I am planning to go on holiday next summer with friends but hadn't really started to think about how I was going to save for it. Yesterday i recieved news that an investment I ahd made around 10 years ago (and therefore forgotten about) matures next february. Dont know if theres much interest but even the capital should cover the cost - result!
Anyway take care everyone and wrap up warm - at least teh snow should mean anoher NSD here!44 day challenge

Okay confessions. I want a Vitamix SO badly! My friend bought one the IHS last week so we are going to have a Vitamix party on Thursday. However I want one of my own and the demonstration was AMAZING! We had tasters of strawberry ice cream (took 60 seconds to make), Thai Chilli soup ( 10 minutes and steaming hot ) and a smoothy stuffed with kale, cabbage and all sorts ( Yummy! )..
I rang my Mum to justify one - me donating plus all my purposed 30th Birthday money treats. She hung up on me after getting sick of hearing "I want a Vitamix, I want a Vitamix" like some deranged child......
SO having walked away and looking at other stalls I felt it would have been best to clear debts first and then get a £495 blender...... but this is a blender and then some. Please You Tube it folks - a cult, a way of life - not just a machine.
Anyone would think I am brain-washed......ahem....“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Oh and there is snow on the ground here in Greater London. Not impressed as I need to use the bike to get to work. I shall pray for rain to melt it or get bucket of hot water out to clear it later. I NEED to get to these two shifts.. It's worth around £400!!!
EBay purchase being picked up today and paid! £22 - not a lot and he is getting a SERIOUS bargain but it was a gift from the ex and I want it gone. Sending another two today - postage paid so and SFD I should hope.
Me and puss shall be relaxing today - she has already been outside to make a snowman.

Morning everyone, the snow here has been falling all yesterday and now today as well, I live in a hilly area and the roads are very bad with it being all side roads, the night before last I parked my car quite a way from the house half way down and managed to get to work yesterday, but thought as I have today off I would try to get it up to the house and now I'll have to get it dug out and try and slide it down a bit so I can get to work tomorrow:rotfl:I shouldnt be laughing really but SNOW this late on, anyway if I cant I wont be going to work - simples (trouble is I dont get paid if I dont go, so will try to move it later). Im supposed to be going out for a meal tonight (all paid for) but thats been cancelled as well:(
So a couple more SFD's for me, cant wait to see the back of March, it seems so long and cold.
Have the DGD her at the moment, she stayed overnight, so we are going to do a bit of painting and perhaps baking if she can unleash herself from the TV:). Hope her mum can collect later
Hope everyone keeps safe and warm with all this snow about, and if you are out and about have a good time

Spend day today. Only £26.72 between Al*i and C*-*p so still within budget but not a lot left and no spend days either. hope I have everything to see me through till Wednesday when my month ends. Fingers crossed. Still got some petrol budget left and minimum travel so the petrol I have should do till Wednesday. I might actually meet the SFD, grocery and petrol budget part of challenge but old eBay has defeated me again. Even the unexpected £50 I got at start of month has gone! Parents, you know that revolving £50! Never mind. In the days BK (before Kat) I would not have had that £50 to lend out again so I'm happy to let it go. Big countdown to April now. Onwards and upwards.MFIT -T5 #420

Hello
Yesterday was meant to be a SFD but ended up buying some ww bars and clubbing in sydicate for lotto, havent heard that we've won anything yet...... Today Im out for tea and drinks which has been budgeted for.
Had a little tax rebate cheque come in the post today as well as a freebie (normally expensive) face cream. Love it when the postie brings nice surprises.:T:T:T Did another bank shift last night and booked a few more for next month. I WILL PAY CCs OFF IN 6 MONTHS!!!:o
Yorkshire Lass, I still have all my Famouse five books from my childhood. My goddaughter had a set, I think I enjoy reading them to her more than she does listening.
L2B, I agree with you on the decluttering, plus its amazing what you find that you forgot you had.:)
Calling, YEY the lodger is gone:j:j:j:j
His Missus, Stick to your guns, its your money. One day that LBM will arrive at your friend's door. I have a friend who is exactly the same, tens of £1000s debt, remortgaged her house twice, had a loan and god knows what else but still enjoys her trips all over the world.....
Have a lovely weekend all xxxHalifax CC All paid Mort £7669.99,Car loan 31 months to go

Grr! I am supposed to be asleep. Yet it alludes me today! I am supposed to get "up" in 2.5 hours but instead I have yet to fall asleep. Since 1430 would you believe. SO I got up for tea and toast to be greeted by more snow.
How important is debt busting vs safety. I can't miss out on this shift so will see what things look like later.. throw a bucket of hot water over the little snow that's on the drive and edge my way to the main road... then it will be okay.
Just getting home tomorrow might be a nightmare.
Been looking at cake to bake for my party...Lemon Drizzle / Chocolate Brownies / Victoria Sponge is on the list...with Mr Kipling Lemon Slices, French Fancies and Battenburg...a multitude of little sandwiches (keeping it easy and vegetarian options only).. Cheese / Onion and Pineapple sticks / Chocolate Fountain with Pretzels / Marshmallows and Strawberries to dunk.. A "bucket" of crisp packets (Discos / Space Raidors and Monster Munch)... Chilli and Lime mini crackers with feta and pepadew on top.... my friend might be persuaded into making puff pastry treats with my home made red onion chutney..
My problem. Finding enough plates, cutlery, teacups, teapots and cake stands.....
