I NinjaSavingKat do hear-by swear to clear my £9787 debt by 31/12/2013. I will honour the MSE code of conduct, Will we use it?Is it worth it? Is it cheaper elsewhere? If the answer to any of these is no I won't buy it! This is MY life I am living and no-one else's, I will help myself so that in 9 months and 11 days I will be debt free and living entirely for ME. If I don't do this now I will regret it. Here I stand NinjaSavingKat fighting the fight for eternal debt freedom.

I Thriftylass do hear-by swear to clear my £9000 debt by 30/06/2014. I will honour the MSE code of conduct, Will we use it?Is it worth it? Is it cheaper elsewhere? P.S. the £9000 aren't really debt as I am just debt free now but I need to pay for a wedding, save for a kitchen, MOT etc next year and need this amount to pay for these things without going into debt again. So it's not really debt busting but debt preventing. Hope that counts tooThank you
I still got 18 weird and wonderful things listed on eBay. I hope that counts.
I'm so up for April again too.
4th day off the fags. Had a wee hissy fit last night but feel great today and even cycled through the snow to work. Rooaaaaaaaaaaar (my battle cry)
HELP NEEDED; my other half is going to be 40 in May and one thing I thought of as a present is retro stuff like sweets and a t shirt. As I didn't grow up here can anyone recommend sweets they remember from the 70s and 80s as want to make a funky present on the cheap(ish) (also going to make him a celtic FC cake and a homemade card rather than spend money on a gadget or similar).DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Girl at work has just started in my office. We have the same amount of debt to deal with. I have a partner in crime!!! Determination is bubbling over right now... So excited about what can be achieved...
Thrifty.. loving the post! Well done on snow cycling!
I recently bought ( for my impending birthday )...Tunnocks Tea Cakes, Wagon Wheels, Wham Bars, Love Hearts, Pear Drops, Sparsparella Sweets, Fruit Salad and Black Jacks, Aniseed Twists, Rhubard and Custard sweets and Refreshers ( With Jelly Babies and Dolly Mixture for bulk ).... I am not sure what else would be suitable but I am going to make them up into little clear bags of a "mixture" with a few Tea cakes & wagon wheels in a paper bag...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. :j:j:j:jI LAGL do hear-by swear to clear my £3,363.94 debt by 31/05/13 and save £7,000 for the new car by 31/12/13. I will honour the MSE code of conduct, Will we use it?Is it worth it? Is it cheaper elsewhere? If the answer to any of these is no I won't buy it! This is OUR life I am living and no-one else's, I will help myself so that in 72 days I will be debt free and living entirely for US. If I don't do this now I will regret it. Here I stand LAGL fighting the fight for eternal debt freedom.:j:j:j:j
I have changed bits to Our and Us as everything here is joint names and its the way we work.
I also have 14 wierd and wonderful lots listed on fleabay - always set my stuff to end on a sunday evening - it seems to sell better.
For what its worth our debt at its max was about £14,000 (actually thinking about it post Uni with student loans and car loans and overdraft between us it was more like £25000), I was on maternity pay at its worst and the reason we have been able to hit things hard in the last couple of months has been due in part to husband being promoted as well as me (finally) getting super frugal. For those with higher totals and looking at longer stints before their DFD I do totally get how hard it can be though - I have lived through the overdraft being totally maxed out before the end of the month and wandering round Mr T's close to tears because everything was so expensive.:(
Anyway - there is my show and tell.
Daughters parents evening was fab last night - she's only in year 1 but there is a group of about 6 of them that are already almost at the standard they want for the end of year 2. We knew she was doing well but that made my night - also really glad there is a group of them as it makes it easier for the teacher to keep them going. Just got to keep her interested but don't want to be pushy. She's still only just 6 so it has to be fun!:D
Am having a SFD today, oooh and DH fixed a friends computer a couple of weeks ago and despite us saying dont worry about it they are insisting on taking us for a curry on Saturday to say thanks - they are even bringing around a baby sitter for us and picking us up - we've tried saying no but apparently that is not an option. Planning to get my own back though - DF has given up chocolate for lent but I have a brilliant cream egg choc brownie recipe I plan to make for her for Easter Sunday - she happens to be my vet friend who was ultra helpful sorting the thyroid cat out. Anyway this is a whole different aspect of the how do you split the bill problem where they wont let you!!
Right had best do some work - Love to all,
LAGL xxDebt free on the 28/05/130 -

Whats delivery like, do they deliver on specific days and times? Is it sent by courier or how does it work? What about payment is it secure?0 -

Eeeek - that time frame seems really long but I've actually shortened to it to what it would be if I paid money back in the planned instalments.
I've had 2 more sfd's but had to pick some bits up at the local shop as DS2 was sent home from school on Monday morning and is still poorly now
Have done overtime and beaten the £100 target (yippee!).
Grocery spend is still well within limit too.
Hope everyone has a good day!

I his missus do hear-by swear to clear my £1516 debt by June 2013.I will honour the MSE code of conduct, Will we use it?Is it worth it? Is it cheaper elsewhere? Kind of a SFD, One of the cats is at the vets and I'd budgetted about £70 for her treatment. Vet said it will be at least £74, maybe more if she needs any teeth extracted (fingers crossed she doesn't)
Went out last night to a comedy gig and refrained from wasting money on drinks so yesterday was a SFD apart from having to buy cat litter (essential esp as I'm locking them in whenever we're out at work and at night time)
Still £6 left over from the weekly budget (vets has been budgetted seperately) and can't see any reason to need to spend it this week.0 -
