I understand what you meant now ..Get off the naughty step though...:p
Lol no, please don't refrain. Me feeling like a muppet will only reinforce the fact that I NEVER want to be in this position againIt's your can do attitude that got us all this far. So please don't stop.

I YorkshireLass do hear-by swear to clear my £21938.96 debt by October 2015. I will honour the MSE code of conduct, Will we use it?Is it worth it? Is it cheaper elsewhere? If the answer to any of these is no I won't buy it! This is MY life I am living and no-one else's, I will help myself so that in 3 years I will be debt free and living entirely for ME. If I don't do this now I will regret it. Here I stand YorkshireLass fighting the fight for eternal debt freedom.
So - do I win a prize for having waaay more debts than anyone else????Nearly didnt post the amount but oh who cares.
So - I have pulled loads of clothes out of my wardrobe to assess and decide what I could sell. The bedroom now looks like a bombsite, my camera batteries have gone flat and I dont even think I have got anything worth selling. Sigh. I seriously need some motivation.
LAGL, oh thats not great news. My boy has serious health problems and has done hardly any education for 3 years. There are lots of pathways through school and all kids get there in the end, just maybe in slightly different ways. Keeping him happy is a priority, if kids arent happy they dont learn no matter what else is going on. Good luck with it.
Off to make a brew and go back to the clothes explosion. Will report back when I have sorted out what I could sell.0 -

Thankyou - He is happy with being him - that is the main thingMy heart knows that - its my head that has the issues! Keep reminding myself that he's a little lad, the younger sibling - his sister practically was born walking and talking - he has done everything later than she did. I love him just as much for being him - and you are right he will do what he wants to when he's ready
Thankyou
Yorkshire lass - thankyou for your wise words too. As for coming top of the class in your debt figure - as I said mine was up there too - keep going - it does get there in the end!!Debt free on the 28/05/130 -
mayfair - I must confess I thought "What am I doing? this is daft!" but actually writing it out (well copy-and-pasting it) made me notice how close my intended DFD is, I can count it in weeks.
In other news, kitty has survived her dentistry session at the vets but Hubby failed to ask if she had to have any other work. I'm assuming if she has, they'd have told us so hopefully just a £74 bill.
Yorkshire lass - I know people on other threads who have way more debt than you do. Besides, it's all relative - someone could be struggling to pay off £500 of debt as they're on minimum wage and have a family of 4 to care for whereas if my debt was £500, I could pay it off in a month. Don't get too hung up on the amount of debt, focus on how well you're paying it off.
LAGL - there's nothing to worry about DS being re-referred to ST, he's young enough to not think of it as a stigma or a label, as are his friends. Working on it early is a good thing xx0 -
I Jonesy88 do hear-by swear to clear our £8350 debt by Christmas 2014, we will also save £3000 for a baby fund by this date. I will honour the MSE code of conduct, Will we use it? Is it worth it? Is it cheaper elsewhere? If the answer to any of these is no I won't buy it! This is MY life I am living and no-one else's, I will help myself so that in 21 months I will be debt free and living entirely for ME. If I don't do this now I will regret it. Ebay - i faithfully promise to list 10 items on ebay.
My debts have tripled in a weekboo! Oh well. More determined than ever. Another SFD for me today, tomorrow wont be though as i'm off out to celebrate a friends birthday with a tea-party.
LAGL - at the end of year 2 i completed exams (SATS i think?). Anyway i was very average, and stuggled with some things. The summer holidays came and went and I entered year 3. Suddenly maths came easy to me, nothing had changed - ie i'd had no tuition etc, but maths was very easy to me and english/science fairly easy.
Anyway i'm trying to say things just clicked for me at that point- I remember my mum being called into school to discuss the changes. I'm sure your little boy will develop and thrive at his own rate.:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

Ahhhh.... I don't know what date to put! I know I want them cleared in a heartbeat, but as that is not practical then it will have to be longer, but I have no idea of a date. Does that make me the moron?Happiness is wanting what you have...0

Hi everyone,
I nannygladys do hear-by swear to clear my £2700 debt by 31/12/2014. I will honour the MSE code of conduct, Will we use it?Is it worth it? Is it cheaper elsewhere? If the answer to any of these is no I won't buy it! This is MY life I am living and no-one else's, I will help myself so that in 2015 I will be debt free and living entirely for ME. If I don't do this now I will regret it. Here I stand nannygladys fighting the fight for eternal debt freedom.
The amount includes £700 that I need after I clear my OD and CC so I can pay my bills the following month after clearing it, if you know what I mean, and like someone earlier said the amounts are all relative, I only earn a piddly amount so it will take me longer to pay it off.
Had a SFD today, although tomorrow I will have to get some milk. Had a good day crafting - well crocheting my DGS a blanket to give him in May when they come over to see me. I made my DD2 one for Xmas and DGS asked if I would make him one and keeps asking me everytime I speak to him on Skype - hes only 6:)
Back to work tomorrow for a couple of days, but done mind too much as its pay day on Friday.:) Mind you I cant use any of it until April 1st, so I can take part in these challanges
Hope everyone is keeping well and positive, I feel really good at the moment but I do wish the weather was a bit warmer so I could get out into the garden and start planting a few things
Jxx
PS Im impressed with myself that I have managed to copy and paste:j

I Beckyboo do hear-by swear to clear my £6500 credit card debt by the end of December 2013. I will honour the MSE code of conduct, Will we use it?Is it worth it? Is it cheaper elsewhere? If the answer to any of these is no I won't buy it! This is MY life I am living and no-one else's, I will help myself so that in 10 months I will be credit card free and living entirely for ME. Good plan to rally the troops Kat!!! Have updated all signatures and am sad to say I am over all budgets except petrol, but think I have been over ambitiously strict when setting my budgets. I have written down every penny spent and looking through and the reason things have gone over is because of unexpected things that have cropped up - punctured pram tyres, extra children's clubs, etc...
Will try to keep spending for the next 11 days to an absolute minimum but have less than 10 nappies in for 2 babies, no fuel in my car (costs me £60 a week to get to work in fuel) and very little to make packed lunches for 3 of us. May well be taking tinned chickpeas and mushy peas to work for the next few days!!!!!Pay off all your debts by Xmas 2014 #45£1197.48/£12,047 - 9.9%

I, L2B, do hereby swear, to clear my £27000 debt by February 2017. I will continue to live by the mse code of conduct. Do i need it, do i use it, can I get it cheaper anywhere else? If the answer is no then i will not buy it. I will help myself so that in 47 months i will be debtfree.
Sorry if its a bit adlib but had to do it on my phone and i can't cut and paste.....well i don't know how to!
Bit gutted that my timeframe is a lot longer than everyone else's. Who will spur me on when you are all debtfree???? But should have had a lbm sooner maybe. Onwards, upwards and in to battle.

These updates have really cheered me up after a bit of a rubbish day, nice work Kat and the gang
I Sarah147 do hear-by swear to clear my * (now this is a hard one. Actual debt is £170 on a credit card but I am also £300 overdrawn as for some reason I have always thought of overdraft as being my money. Absolutely ridiculous. So I am declaring £500 as I want it all cleared!!) debt by July 2013 I will honour the MSE code of conduct, Will we use it?Is it worth it? Is it cheaper elsewhere? If the answer to any of these is no I won't buy it! This is MY life I am living and no-one else's, I will help myself so that in three months time I will be debt free and living entirely for ME. I have spent most of the last two Sunday's listing on Sunday which has been incredibly mind numbing boredom but the results are slowly coming through... I can't get eBay to load at the moment (are you all on there?!) but I have 30 items closing on Sunday and quite a few watchers so far. Really hoping for a late flurry of bids to come through.
<runs away to see what else I can list>0
