I Rosiecheeksblossom do hear-by swear to clear my £2797.80 cc debt by 30th Septmber 2013. I will honour the MSE code of conduct, Will we use it?Is it worth it? Is it cheaper elsewhere? If the answer to any of these is no I won't buy it! This is MY life I am living and no-one else's, I will help myself so that in 6 months I will be debt free and living entirely for ME. If I don't do this now I will regret it. Here I stand Rosiecheeksblossom fighting the fight for eternal debt freedom.

Another SFD, 15/25. Still trying to work out an Ebay substitute as i can't do that. Payday a week today so hope to make some nice debt repayments then. it looks slow at the moment but hope to have a bonus end of April and another bigger lump around August which should bring the debt down FAST. xMFIT -T5 #420 -

I also think letting your mum help initially would be good. If my mum had my money I would def think twice/thrice about purchases more so than if I only got myself in charge. Maybe just for a while till you see a difference and get a feeling for things again.
Sorry took a while to reply Thrifty but I'm with you, Have had a couple in the last week but getting used to using the vap cig now.

Hi everyone
Well I hit rock bottom this week which is why I haven't posted this week sorry. I had the baliffs telephoning me while I am at work leaving an answer phone message saying that they had just knocked on my door and if I didn't ring them back within half an hour my door would be put through
This was a big wake up call as it is for a debt that I thought I had finished paying. I did manage to get together the money to pay them but they had added £180 to the amount I owed for them just to knock on my door
I had a really long chat to my mum and have finally fessed up to the amount of debt I have. I really didn't want to tell her as I know how she worries but I was in such a mess. We both went to see my Auntie and Uncle who, thankfully and I am so grateful, have lent me the full £9k so that I can pay off all the stupid debts that I have here there and everywhere and then I just have them to pay weekly.
I am going with my mum having my card and she is going to give me my budget amounts every week and also pay my Auntie back for me so that she has peace of mind that I have paid this and have not still got my head in the sand. I can understand there not been a lot of trust there or I wouldn't have got myself in this mess to begin with.
That was last Friday. Cheque was banked on Monday and will be cleared on Friday so Friday afternoon will be spent paying everyone off and then start paying her back the week after.
I feel so guilty about having to do this but my Auntie has been great about it but did assure me in no uncertain terms that she wouldn't do it again for me.
So Kat, hopefully with my mum only 'allowing' me my budget spends, next month I should be able to stick to them and get more SFD's. I am still under budget but will post that tomorrow as I think this has been a long enough thread.
I'm so glad you are all here with me and also there are a few of you with the same (roughly) amount of debt.TOTAL DEBT - £10866.22/£450.06 PAID O/S £10416.16CC - £174.69 - The rest is a family loan and other debts which are 0%August Grocery Challenge - £0.00/£250.00

How are you doing??
Thanks, good till today. Had the house to myself for a couple of hours tonight and busied myself with tidying but the found hubby's and had two, grrr. Why.....new day tomorrow. Was feeling good not smoking and going to the gym etc. But I find it hard when they're in the house and I'm left alone with them
Just saw your other posts. Scary...but well done on taking help from your mum and family. Hopefully now also without having to pay interest and owing the money to family it should be a less daunting task and a different kind of motivation to pay them back rather than anonymous debtors. All the best!DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Thanks Thrifty. That's the reason I ended up having a couple. I find that when I am at home I have no problems at all. It's only when I spend time with people who smoke that I start wanting one.
The couple that I had were with my mum, who is also trying to cut down, so I didn't do her any favours on that day.
Fresh day tomorrow so will let you know how I get on. Think of the moneyTOTAL DEBT - £10866.22/£450.06 PAID O/S £10416.16CC - £174.69 - The rest is a family loan and other debts which are 0%August Grocery Challenge - £0.00/£250.00

I angelpye do hear-by swear to clear my £6836 debt by June 2014. I will honour the MSE code of conduct, Will we use it?Is it worth it? Is it cheaper elsewhere? If the answer to any of these is no I won't buy it! This is MY life I am living and no-one else's, I will help myself so that in 15 months I will be debt free and living entirely for ME. If I don't do this now I will regret it. Here I stand angelpye fighting the fight for eternal debt freedom.
There I have done it. Oh my, what a big number. The date is because I have some big financial commitments coming up and need to be in a better position to meet them so my name will be angel 'committed to debt busting' pye!
Ninjasavingkat you have my dirty laundry now with your help and everyone here too I will clean it up!
I have just curled up in bed to total up my spending - bit of a blip for last couple of days. When I get upset and times are tough I easily slip into ignoring my responsibilities then feel guilty - usually then ignore and ignore and ignore. Not this time, I have totalled it up, felt guilty, assessed damage and will now dust myself off to march on (think 'Sharp' series theme tune)!
Maybe just maybe I can do thisHappiness is wanting what you have...0 -
Ps my first ever ebay sales have all paid up so need to work out exact amount - only a hop over £30 and update totals. I have blown my budgets but still much better than usual for me. Need to be more realistic and tough at the same time. More stuff on eBay so onwards and upwards!Happiness is wanting what you have...0
