Borough Market is not open on Sundays unfotunatly. It's VERY expensive... Go to Spittlefields Market near Liverpool Street instead.. ask anyone once off the tube and you won't go wrong. Depending on how early you are there Columbia Road Flower Market is worth a visit as you are right in the depths os the east end market callers selling beautiful flowers.... mountains of vintage stores, antiques, clothing, much much food...its busy though but vibrant...and there is so much to see!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. On a different note - I shall write in bold to get attention to this.
- Do any of you know HOW on earth to get hold of vouchers/coupons bar writing to companies to complain / compliment? signing up for e-mails from brands can work. I don't get a lot though.
- How many of you do this on a regular basis and never attend a supermarket without vouchers for money off? If I find a voucher I'll use I stuff it in my purse so it's there if needed.
- Whats the greatest spend you have completed with vouchers? do nectar points count?
- You must all watch on 4OD and watch "The Ultimate Guide to Penny Pinching" and :T:Tall hail :T:Tthe woman that is JUDITH!!!
- What websites do you use to get coupons / vouchers??
- Are you embarassed to use them?? no
- I don't have a printer and will need to off-set the price of one against the use of the coupons... any ideas..? Maybe free-cycle but I need a printer which will allow me to re-fill the cartridges... do you have access to one at work? We're allowed to use printer for personal use as long as we don't take the P.

Hi everyone, another SFD for me:)
After last nights revelation, are you ready Kat (I have been putting this off - that is admitting it to myself) my OD will be at the end of the month before pay will be £1607, after pay and benefits of £864 it will be £743 but my bills for a calander month are £817 and have to come out of it, so I can only at best reduce it each month by £47:(:( It does get me down but entirely my own fault, I used to have a well paid job that I walked out of as I got to the point where I couldnt bear to go in, and couldnt take it anymore. I wasnt entitled to any benefits and my savings went really quickly paying all the bills and meeting committments Id already made, anyway I now work part time and have 2 years to go until retirement and I am happier and more content then I have been for years, so for me it was worth it. In October a loan is paid off and that will release £120 a month and the CC's will be paid off by the end of the year releasing another £90 and part of my mortgage is also paid off bringing in another £80 so I know it will get paid off eventually, its just the realisation that Im spending money that isnt mine - that is what just has hit me:o
If I work too much OT at work then I have the benefits taken off me (and quite rightly so) and to be honest I dont want to go back to feeling how I was before. My health isnt the best, but I think that is down to age but I cant afford time off sick, so I just keep working in a job that I can do without too much thought, I do enjoy it even if it is repetitive and when I get bored I can switch off and think of other things:)
So thats my life, Im not complaining and wouldnt have written it down if you hadnt said to, it is my fault and its up to me to get out of it so I will keep marching on, doing the best I can and following your challanges which work for me:)
Jxx
PS had to press button quick before I changed my mind about posting, not sure still if I have done the right thing and feel really shakey about what people will think£1 a day 2025: £90.00/365 Xmas fund0 -
Oh Nanny Gladys - you are a star - didnt want to read and run as posting bits like that takes courage. Totally agree that your health is the most valuable thing - sounds like you are a determined lady who will get there!! :grouphug: Slightly dodgy looking group hug Love Lagl xxDebt free on the 28/05/130

nannygladys, what is it that makes you worry about what people will think? Do you think they'll judge you on your OD amount? I know people with far greater ODs than that. We're certainly not going to judge you for "spending someone else's money" as we're all in debt here and we're all paying back money we've borrowed.
You should be proud of yourself for being honest and also being brave enough to put your well-being before money and a cruddy job.
