    Morning everyone

No :j here today, just . Am really peed off.

Got a dress, didn't fit, sent it back. Got a refund minus the delivery charge. I've PAID £6.00 for NOTHING!!!! Can't exchange items, have to re order. Can't use the first order 20% discount again as it's not my ''first order''. If I ordered again I'd be paying not only the original £3.00 postage, but another £3.00 to send it back & ANOTHER £3.00 to get it delivered again along with the additional £9.00 because I am now not eligible for the discount. That would total an additional £18.00 cost, to ME, to get your dress. And what if it didn't fit then, that's right, another £3 to send it back.

I'm just going to cut my losses and walk away. £6.00 down :(

    Rant over. :p

    Hello all!

    Going to be SFD today!

Bought an enormous coffee table to replace the 2 small side tables we've been using for our laptops. More importantly, we now have a place (box on shelf under table) to put bills/paperwork instead of either on the floor/settee/dining table so we can keep track of what's been paid/to be paid easily instead of spending ages searching for paperwork left on floor/settee/dining table. We can feel a bit more organised now :)

Mayfair, Ihad a similar problem with a catalogue that didn't do free returns, I just stopped using them. It's so annoying isn't it?
  • Afternoon all,

Well feeling far more awake today - after spending much of yesterday falling asleep I went to bed at 7.15pm - for me that is a record - turns out Im now too old to go after midnight every night and not have it catch up on me!:D

So far today had a PPI claim refused and a case opened against me on Fleabay - apparently the item was not as described but thats all the detail they have given so have asked in what way?? PPI letter was hilarious really - apparently they cant see there was ever PPI on the account and the case was closed - despite that is me sending the signed loan agreement and bank statements showing payment of loan with PPI and the PPI deducted from my account when the loan was paid in. I had highlighted this all in bright yellow - what more is a girl to do?? Anyway had a nice chat with a lady in coventry and she could see my point - case re-opened - here's hoping!!

Thrifty and Kat - I'll have some of what you are having :j:j:j
Calling sorry you are feeling grotty but glad you got the soles - I had scholl ones and they were fab.
Mayfair -re the dresss grrrrrr on your behalf!

Presents all wrapped for DD birthday tomorrow - apparently they had a vet visiting today at school and she was pood on by a snake!! DS was visiting with preschool and his teachers told me when I collected him. She must be ok or they would have called - to be honest I did not see that one coming today!! :rotfl::rotfl:

    Love to all LAGL xx

Oh and another SFD today :)
    Debt free on the 28/05/13
  • Quick check in from me

I'm claiming a SFD today (no. 9) as only spends have been on expenses for another meeting. I almost bought chocolate when I put petrol in the hire car, but I resisted, so as a bonus I'm feeling very virtuous! off to the gym tonight, so even better.

Glad people are enjoying the sunshine, it makes such a difference doesn't it? Now all we need is for it to warm up a little too! :)

Another SFD for me but i'm feeling VERY grumpy

I have been on ebay for 6 years, sold 300 things and NEVER had a negative feedback. Until today :(. Someone said i overcharged on postage, hello? it was there when you bid- if you thought it was too high than you shouldnt have bid! So angry that they didnt even bother to email me to query, just left feedback and ruined my 100%.

I charged £3.20. Postage was £2.20 plus bag and labels etc so probs about £2.50 in all. I conceed i overcharged by a whopping 70p but i honestly thought the postage would be atleast £2.70. Anyway i've messaged the seller saying i'm willing to refund 70p if they revise the feedback.

Jonesy - I agree re the postage - I have anaged to avoid begative feedback but my score on postage was low enough, for a while , to affect the number of possible listings. So frustrating when the postage costs have been made available to all!

Today is sadly a spend day - ironically on dog biscuits, dog food, potatoes and a pair of reading glasses - mine snapped last night - all in all a ghastly £17.57!

Onwards and upwards - as kat would say!

amother SFD today so that's 8. NSK re post#423 - you say you did nothing. you did everything, girl! Last october when i had £17k+ debt and no real prospect of clearing it i came upon your own Ultimate Challenge' thread. your debt was a similar amount to mine, and you were determined to get rid by end of 2013. That was my LBM. i thought, Right, if Kat can do it, so canI. we go about it in a different way, i have no ebay or overtime, but by applying the MSE rules re spending only what was necessary and having a proper plan for which order to pay off the debts, i could see i could do it too. with the help of you and the fellow contenders, not forgetting the OS bunch, there is a chance my debt will be gone by 1/1/14 or not long after. prior to this i was paying £ooos in interest and thought i would still be paying them off when i get my pension lump sum and would have to use that to clear them. now i might even have some savings and be able to help my kids out a bit. ashamed to say i could hardly help them at all when they were at uni and i am so proud of how well they are doing, but they could do with a help on to property ladder etc. Anyway, i could waffle on for ever, and i know i need lots of luck to keep my DFD in sight, but i will always thank NSK for getting me on the right track at last, and the contenders and supporters for showing the way. Hi all

Mmm, Ebay. I once got left neutral feedback for selling a pair of kids footie boots that were a "bit grubby". Now I did wash them before they were sold but I didnt go to the trouble of removing every last speck of dirt. Bearing in mind they were footie boots I thought it was a bit unfair and I was gutted. It actually really matters to me that people are happy with their purchases!

Thrifty, I can really relate to your bit about the way you dress and the way you feel. I work from home and spend a fair bit of time walking my dog and had got into a real rut with how I looked. I took my youngest to the doctors one day and an old friend came and sat next to us in the waiting room. I was suddenly really aware of the fact that she looked really nice and I was wearing old jeans and a fleece, no make-up and hair a mess. I have started trying to make more of an effort and its true, you do feel better about yourself.

So, have had a SFD again today. Car is going into the garage for MOT and service on Friday and I am a bit nervous. I have put aside £350 but not sure if that will be enough.

Oh and its been really snowy here!

Calling, hope you are feeling better. Hugs and motivation to those who need it. Off to make a shopping list for the supermarket tomorrow.
  • Evening all.
Not much to report here. Couple of spends which I knew were coming up and a couple of unplanned which were things I needed for my classroom. Food budget is going way over AGAIN this month but think I am just being too restrictive. Includes all my nappies etc... for the twins and can't have them running around without nappies!!!

Hi everyone, just a quickie tonight as off to bed shortly.

Another SFD for me:) so much for treating these 5 days off as an 'at home holiday' well strictly its true as I havent left the house since Sunday:rotfl:

Still had loads of thinking time and today I realised that as I am never out of my OD (I dont earn that much:() Im not spending any of my own money, everytime I make a withdrawal its the banks and I have to pay it back, and thats not right it should be MY money, so from now on I am not going to spend any money without thinking thats its NOT mine to spend as I need to get it paid off and have my own money - sorry if that doesnt make much sense:o

Better go to bed, really tired cant think straight - or was it that drink of wine I had earlier:D(about 10 mins ago!!!!)

    Jxx
