Today will be NSD number 5 as I don't need anything and don't have my wallet. Today's tea is defrosting (bangers with roast veg etc) at home. Checked my meter readings and have exactly the same usage as last month , was hoping that would come down. Need to do sth about it. I guess leccy can't change that much as we don't have much on we don't need but gas is the heating which should come down soon.

I have just found out that following a holiday in 2008 where our flight was delayed by 15 hours I am entitled to £346 compensation

D-Day regarding the dress. Someone told me I am entitled to a refund due to the damage .. another says I should have checked myself since it was a cintave number..your thoughts?

I had a bad evening last night. For the last 5-6 months I have offered my services in training to join a voluntary organisation. This included meeting a Royal last week and the past weekends training in the middle of no-where and every Wednesday since October. I was advised last night that they do not require "leaders" and that I have been referred until October where I will have to go through the entire process again with a new group of people. This I will not be doing. I have invested time, money ( which I am pitching to get back = £190 ) and to be told to come back in a 6 months is ludicrous. I am nearly 30 - my leadership skills are not going to dissipate in that time. I quite like who I am. So I got home late following drinks ( lemonade bought for me ) with two other girls who were also "deferred" for being leader material....

I will never lie down and be a door matt. I will never not speak up when it's needed and refuse to join an organisation that has based my entire worth on 3 x 20-minute group activities.

When times get tough and they realise they have no leaders, that the women they have will only do something when they are told to and can't think or act for themselves they will realise their selection process is flawed.

So 6 months of my life down the drain. I am relieved. My time is now re-focused on me.

Today is not an SFD - today was "buy a massive breakfast with my work colleagues and feel sorry for myself".. = £4.70. I will make it up over the weekend on eBay I think.

Onwards and FOREVER Upwards!

God Kat that sucks! If it helps i've been, in a roundabout way, in a similar situation before, it really really is their loss. And make sure you focus some of that time you've got back on YOU. Not on earning, or saving or moving or naything, just you. Hugs.

SFD today so, 4? I think? Also managed another 108 off the holiday balance and another bit towards the spending money.

Something exciting has come up for us. I know it's silly but I can't say what. There is a very very very small possibility that we will have a significant amount of money coming our way. The chances are tiny slim and it does require an initial outlay of about £40.00. We're going to do it and pay the outlay, because if it comes off we'll be debt free and purchasing a house in the next 3 months. It's not a scam and nothing dodgy i promise. Just wish I could say more but sworn to keep it zipped. BUT it does require lots of good vibes. So please send them our way

Afternoon all, another SFD here today - had a good chat with a couple of fantastic friends today, one of which calmed me down after a further round with the numpty I mentioned the other day - I tried to clear the air - now there was an error of judgement!!:mad:

Anyway dear friend has a saying, "give me the wisdom to change the things I can the perseverence to live with the things I cant. " She's a wise lady with an evil sense of humour I need people like that in my life!

Anyway will poddle of to collect DS - hopefully an event free morning for him.

So after agonising (:rotfl:) about paying that returns postage I decide to make today a spendy day: so some dry cleaning collected, the postage, more lunchtime snacks and a cheeky caramel whisper. Totally not necessary, but nice!

Sorry to hear about being turned down Kat. Do you think they're testing you? See how much perseverance you have? Of course they seem to have shot themselves in the foot, by putting you off completely.

Visited store. Approved credit note for a year. Better than being forced to buy something today! Still a grubby £155 though!!!
