THAT dress did not sell on eBay last night. The store won't give me a refund - turns out the girl that sold it to me is the Manager???? The item was sold on behalf of someone else - weird! I have to go in tomorrow and exchange £155 worth of dress for stuff I don't need. There is a lesson in itself. NEVER BUY SOMETHING IN A HURRY!!!!:mad:
Someone has not recieved their eBay postage from me when it was sent in February. I now need to find out what happened to that ( she did not ask for recorded posting ) otherwise eBay will probably take money off me as they seem to favour the buyer over the seller.:mad:
What a nightmare with that dress, hopefully you find sth nice to maybe sell on for a profit.
I always send mine recorded (even 99p items, never know how much they go for) hence my postage is bit higher and my rating for postage a bit lower but I know they can't dispute arrival and they know from the start they pay for recorded. The only exception is abroad (some countries don't do it anyway). Although the other day I was extremely lucky with an item send to Italy. Only read after he bought it avoid Italy as they're good at losing post and don't do recorded, luckily mine arrived, phew.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

I hate that people don't give 5 stars for postage! I only ever charge the actual postage amount - it's the amount that the postage costs that they don't like, not what I have charged! I always give the option for 2nd Class now as well as 1st Class and mention it in my listing to let buyers know that there's a cheaper option. Some of them still mark me down!
I had to claim from the PO once when an item didn't arrive. It was no problem and the PO paid up, even although I didn't have a receipt for the item (it was something I'd had for a while and got rid of when I was moving house). There's a form you can download and send it off with proof of posting and the ebay advert. Just tick the box that says you're enclosing a receipt - I did, even although I didn't.
Ok, I'm hungry again - I still have the imaginary smell of jam crumblies in my head! Off to raid my cupboards to see what's munchable :EasterBun0 -
