    Hi all :D
Kat hope you find some good bargains in the vintage store to swap for the dress, you will need your MSE head on and think what will sell good? Planned spend on 4 lots of dogs vaccinations for me today:eek: but a vet friend did them so I think I got them cheaper than normal. :D The only other big planned spend this month is the passports which for 2 kids comes to £90  (plus the whole photo booth saga which came to £10 in the end) so £100 smackers just on passports which makes me feel a bit gutted actually. Anyway today I managed to get a new client which is very good and will sing to the tune of about an extra £30 ish per week so £120 ish a month for at least a couple of months so thats all good :D. However I have one client moving away in April so need to stay motivated to keep the work coming in.
Jacket potatoes with beans, tuna mayo, cheese and coleslaw for tea quick and easy but yum. Need to do a bit of meal planning as I was tempted to buy mince today but theres plenty of other stuff in it just needs a bit of effort in the thinking department.
Anyway, 1st week done tomorrow and on budget we are flying along folks- keep motivated, we can do this

Hi all, just logging my elec & gas usuage for week, I took the reading yesterday, as I do every Tuesday but forgot to post:
Electric used 31 units up on week by 1 unit
Gas used 6 units same as last week, but I had the heating on more but on a lower setting, so I think I will be going with that from now on, as overall the house seemed much warmer and aired.

L2B - Jam crumblies, I have found the recipe, it was off here somewhere, sorry cant remember whose it was and as yet I havent tried it but here goes.(good job I wrote it down)

    6oz marg 6oz brown sugar
6oz porridge oats 7oz plain flour
1/2 tsp baking powder pinch salt
    4oz jam
Cream marg and sugar and stir in dry ingrediants, put 1/2 mixture in bottom of 8" tin and press down, cover with the jam and crumble remaining mixture over, press down in tin and bake G4 or 180C 25 mins or microwave for 7mins!!! cut into squares in tin and allow to cool in tin before taking out.

As I said I havent actually tried it yet and I was thinking of using up some mincemeat I have left from Xmas, as I think it would work. If you try it before me please let us know how you get on.

Anyway SFD here, but need some milk so will have to get that tomorrow when I finish work. Had lasagne for tea and made my breakfast/break food for morrow, rice, egg and vegs.

Sorry to hear about you dress Kat and your eb*y trouble, I have registered with the bay but thats as far as its got, I have a days overtime on Sat but it doesnt make me much money as its normal pay and Im low paid:(but it all helps.

Hope everyone has a good evening and will report in tomorrow night as Im working a 6-2 tomorrow and have to go out visiting when I have finished

Kat, that is really annoying about the dress. I am sure you will be able to find some good bargains to sell on, you might even make a profit out of it!

Another SFD for me, up to 4 out of 6 now. Had a naughty spendy day yesterday, with £147 on food. That sounds awful but it was mostly food we needed (a few sneaky treats in there though). There should be enough food in there to make dinners for the month hopefully and it did include formula milk for DD1 so the only food I buy now until the end of the month should be milk and bread..... Having read this back, it just sounds like a lot of excuses for the massive overspend!

Good evening everyone, hope you all had a good Wednesday :D

I had another busy day trying to make money, whilst not spending any! Sucessfull on both counts, thankfully! My figures are the same as yesterday, although my SFD total has increased to 5 :)

I just downloaded the Shop Scan Save App to my phone and tomorrow I plan to get a free box of Maltesers with it :T Has anyone else used the App? I just noticed the info on this site (it was the free chocolate that lured me!) and can't work out if it's a licence to get free chocolate (Maltesers at the Co-op and a Kit Kat at any of the stores that haven't redeemed yet - there are loads of those near me) or a whole load of hassle and the shop assistants won't know what I'm talking about. Shall attempt it tomorrow and report back!

My Sunday night ebay was a bit of a flop as only one item sold and they've not paid yet! I've relisted three of the items, with one starting at 99p as an experiment to see how much it can raise. It's already at £2.20 so let's wait til this Sunday to see how it goes.

What a nightmare with your dress kat - good luck picking something else, something better!

I noticed that the Post Office are changing the prices for parcels. Now, I don't know enough about it to inform anybody else, but my (very limited) understanding is that if you mail something that's more than 8cm thick (ie some of the clothes were probably going to try and ditch with this mass spring clear out we're all having), the minimum postage price will go up to £5ish (see, I don't really know what I'm talking about yet...I just wanted to let people know that the price may rise soon so get clearing and ebaying if that's what you intend to do). Phew, that's a lot of words for not a lot of factual information! Maybe I should learn a bit more and report back? Ok, read on people, my updated factually correct post will follow shortly......
  • Evening all.
Just a quickie for me as I am just so exhausted I can hardly coordinate my fingers to type.
Clocking in with NSD #5. Will have to get some milk tomorrow for the twins and then weekly shop on Friday. Kiddies and husband allon board with the not spending at the moment which helps hugely. Long may that last!!!!!

    Hello,

just a quick check-in, will catch up with the post properly in a minute. Had another spend day today (2nd) as we needed milk as the milk man changed his dates and I forgot. BUT as I knew I will need a few items by the weekend anyway I got them too (frozen beg and chicken) and will not go out shopping till we need fresh fruit sometime next week. Will update my signature tomorrow.

My ebay sales aren't going that great either only got 5 99p items on just now with a few watchers and one bid but I'm lucky if I make 3 quid :(. However, I found a few more items that I think might sell better and for slightltly more :) judging by other things like it on ebay. Made up the listings tonight and will stick them on as soon as there is free listing.

My dentist today was free as I didn't even need a scale and polish and I picked up the £150 from the nursery :T.

Also took my monthly meter readings but my other numbers are at work so need to wait till tomorrow to compare.

    Catch up later
