Toonight for dinner is lasagne, but tomorrow I think I will try this Pot and cheese pie as I seem to have everything in (and another meal from the freezer will be allocated to next month!) and whilst the ovens on I think I will have a go at some jam crumblies but made with mincemeat (left from Xmas) instead of jam - thats if I can find the recipe:)
Anyway off to get dressed and get hoover out, report back in later

Anyone got any new ways of earning some extra £££ apart from the usual which we all know about - fleabay, wombling etc...?? I am aiming for another 15-20 items on eBay this week!! AND I shall embrace the 99p challenge!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Oh Kat, sorry to hear about the dress not selling - how annoying.
I have to confess that I bought DS1 some Craghoppers trousers that he was absolutely crazed on last year and they didnt fit, too long in the leg but too small in the waist! And I didnt get round to taking them back. They were £25, ahem. I really should get them on ebay but I dont want them to go for nothing. Stupid stupid.
Right I need to get on - supposed to be working. Only have another half hour to do then its dog walking and hoovering for the rest of the afternoon - but not at the same time!0 -

£4 of my grocery money left for this week, need to buy bread rolls, cold meat and maybe some cheese (if I can stretch that far) for lunches for rest of the week. Some of my grocery money though has gone in the change pot (any change in purse less than £1 coin at the end of the day goes in the pot) so doing really well this week
Bought bread, ham and some crumpets and £1.17 left in change for the savings pot.
Had a bit of a "moment" with Hubby, he doesn't get why I'm eating up the boring soup I made when he's having nice butties. Told him I'm trying to use up food from the freezer rather than keep spending and trying to stick to a budget, which he doesn't understand. He feels if we can afford to buy food, we should. It's not as if I'm starving us though, I'm just trying to follow the challenge as best as I can without him feeling he's missing out.
SO I told him we could actually afford to eat takeaway every night but we'd not afford a holiday or be debt free soon if we did! :rotfl:
Right, off to plan a menu for nesxt week and write up a shopping list for Saturday.0 -
Morning all!
NSk - Bad times regarding eBay. I made the mistake of sending something not recorded, £18 had to be refunded straight back. Was gutted. Won't be making that mistake again! Everything over a fiver gets recorded weather they ask for it or not!
A few of my ebuys have come. I'm litterally over the moon and jumping for Joy. :j:j:j They are little beauts!!
Another NSD today, so that's what, 3? Although I undershot on the food shop this week. Poor Planning, either that or over training which leads to over eating so may have to bring the next one forward a day or 2!
Can't even go cupboard shopping. I ran the food cupboards right down when we started them and never filled them back up. This really puts me on edge and doesn't sit well with me. I haven't got a clue why. I like to have stuff in, maybe for emergencies? Not that the emergency has ever come. I just don't like the thought of not being able to feed us if something happened. So empty cupboards irk me... but needs must. God only knows what would happen that meant we had no food, no money, and no way of getting to the shop, and no way of getting the 5 minutes down the road to the In laws or them to us. Zombies maybe? Anyway.....0 -
Afternoon all - seems like a few of us are having "one of those" days! Started late this morning - woke up late - rushed the kidlets out the house. Was mildly irritated by DS preschool - have decided that it would be much easier to show more grace if there were far fewer numpties in the world!!
Anyway have mowed the lawn - re turfed last summer and due to dog, kids and winter its patchy again! Grrrrr - what to do - will try seeding but if that doesnt work it may be another few quid on turf.
Anyway - Kat re the dress and the parcel - sympathiesdont let it/them get you down - you can still claim through royal mail I think - check on their site or ask at a post office - I suspect you may have to have proof of posting but am not sure.
So the good news - another sfd/nsd/whatever you like to call it here - keep fit tonight - there is one move when you "punch it out" always find that one liberating:D:D

This made me LOL! You know I love my Zombies and have thoughts about a disaster taking hold ( possibly not Zombies though ) which will mean THE END OF CIVILISATION!!! :rotfl:... I think I would survive quite well actually... I can sleep anywhere ( outside on a roof or tied to a tree a la Katniss Everdeen )... canned food will be available for a while... ( just need to stash )... a motorbike to nip between crashd cars and bodies strewn on the ground..... okay too much now...
Moving on... on a happier note today my new Kindle is arriving today hopefully. I reported it damaged and since it was within the year it is being replaced FREE. Must remember now not to take it into the bath again....:)...
I am also making myself a list of "What To Do To Earn More Dough" as it looks like I might not have this Sunday's double-bubble overtime as originally imagined in my money-grabbing little head... So I have the WHOLE weekend to plan, scheme, upload to eBay, research and plan some more....:T:T:T
EDIT = Defo did not get the overtime requested! Boo hiss!
Onwards and Upwards to my land of plenty!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Hello all,
Checking in for today - another SFD to declare, getting back into the swing of those.
I have a eBay parcel I need to exchange. I bought some natural cotton rope to make new handles for a couple of vintage suitcases where the original leather one has perished. But I didn't do a very good job on estimate the required thickness, but the seller has nicely said they'd exchange it for me. But then I'm putting off returning it for the sake of not spending the postage! Silly really as I'm not using what I've got but I don't want to break a SFD. But then I need to do it in the week while I have access to the office franking machine (cheaper postage!)
Anyway my point (yes I do have one!) is that that's a lot of thought for the sake of £2! That's energy I used to expend on worry about making it to the end of the month!Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
