SO today has been a day of clearing up and shipping out things to the charity store. I still have to find a place to live within the next few months and am getting rid of the things I really really don't need. I can honestly say 99p things on eBay don't interest me ( sorry that's not a good attitude I know ) but I have so much else I have to do...

I have seen some serious expenditure by some of you.. Abundant I am shocked at £126..? Just for double points? Do you see where the con is with this offer though? I know you can make up for it in other areas so please don't bow out ....although I am the same as you when you say "all or nothing". I am learning that the hard way by having NO social life whatsoever!!!

I am about to count my pennies. I know I spend £4.89 on cheese the other day (BOGOF) and make something from the odds and sods that is in my freezer!

Been drinking tea like its going out of fashion today so milk might be on the cards soon although packing it in entirely might be better. No milk means an SFD which I need to start wracking up...

Siousxie well done on your hat-trick..

I have a few items on eBay including THAT dress. There are 4 people watching it already for £199.99 and £8 postage. That will suit me better than returning it and swapping it for clothing I really don't need or want. SO we shall see how it goes. Otherwise I have to bring it back within 14 days which is Friday I think.

Which reminds me I best go get it from the dry-cleaners now..

Have fun chickadees - the day is young and shining bright.

    Onwards and Upwards!!!

    1. Unfortunately that's most stuff I have left now, like dollhouse accessories from my child hood, might try a few more clothes (tried before and didn't shift, non-branded mostly or low brands) and fountain pens etc that I found soon though

    2. Honestly mine (£99 plus £40 HH) wasn't for the points or BOGOFS, just meat, veg, fruit, tins, nappies etc for this month for us three (well the nappies just for one:D), ok the whole leg of lamb was a YS and not very MSE maybe but we got/will get 4 meals out of that for all of us

    3. We still get the milkman out of local business support consciousness or whatever you want to call it but it's almost twice the price ti LIDL and the wee man and us go through 8 pints a week, need to muster the courage to cancel

Thrifty I might hit the herbal teas again. Better all round considering the amount of sugar I have in my tea...:rotfl:

Reading through all the postings has cheered me up!

I'm REALLY annoyed and would normally buy myself something to cheer me up but I came on here instead. I had my email account hacked and a load of emails sent off to all my contacts ~ I'm usually so careful with what I click so I'm not a happy bunny :( Nothing major I know, but it seriously bugs me!!

Anyway this should be another sfd but I'll update tomorrow.........just in case I lapse?!

    Have a great evening all

    xx

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hello all!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

I've been impressed with myself so far. Had a budgetted trip to the market for bread and cold meat for lunches today, trying to buy more fresh and less prepacked food and only spent £2.30 so still under my weekly shopping budget and there's money still in my purse :)

Afternoon all - I am really loving this positive thread - especially about the dogs lol! My pair have just nicked one of the last three potatoes in the sack so I down to using the emergency frozen jacket potatoes. When they go I guess it'll be the smash!!

Anyway just popping in to say that its sfd 4 here. I'm even going to make a mother's day card to eliminate the spending - present already sorted. Have fun everyone x

Ninth Anniversary Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi everyone,
Feeling a mite deflated after spending an hour updating my DMP, was overdue a review and the woman I spoke to kind of made me feel a bit like a naughty schoolgirl! I'm ashamed of myself enough as it is without some snooty faceless patronising bint who doesn't know me from Adam (Eve?) sticking her oar in... I wouldn't mind but I was calling to INCREASE my payments each month.

Anyway, sorry for ranting and I digress...

Most deffo NOT a NSD today, went to Costco this morning and spent the months food budget though technically I wont need to buy food for the next 2 months looking at the state of the cupboards/freezer!
Bulk bought some bagels and crumpets, half of which can be frozen and the other half divided between home and work, also bought a box of 10 tuna steaks that saino's do individually for £4 each!

Batch cooked lasy agnes's, pesto pasta and mexican stirfry so have about 12 boxed up portions of those, plus have cereals, tinned fruit/custard/rice pudding, beans, pasta, plum tomatoes etc have enough milk and salad to last until end of month.

Everything else is budgeted for and I have £60 for emergencies, plus I'll get birthday money

Have a good monday evening x

    Hey All...

    Consider me reprimanded!!! ;)

I think with me... When my life feels empty or lacking in some areas (e.g. social/love life) I over compensate in other areas... Buying food definitely gives me a feeling of security and comfort... like comfort eating without the eating lol... I think I need to try and stay focused on the end goal... *When* I am debt free then I will feel truly secure - and all of my money earned will be just that - my own... As long as I have debts - that money excess is owed elsewhere... I'm just prolonging the debt-experience!!!...

So by way of retribution - I am going to put in for *even more* overtime to clear the overspend at least...

    Today = SFD number 1
