Evevning everyone,
Poodlegal - All sounds quite gruesome, you're better than me, I think I would have passed out......:o
NSK - What part of Dorset were you at, I used to live in Poole and absolutely love that part of the world. Hope you had a good time apart from the injuries.
Well everyone is very positive and the vibes are shining through :T, long may it continue. I have had my 2nd SFD today and sold 2 items on fleabay:p.

Hey all...
Have been chuckling away at the deer story - what an eventful afternoon - bet you were traumatised LOLAhem... poor deer...
Well I started off well... went to Pound Land and 99p Store - but was sorely disappointed!!! Nothing on my list and I didn't just want to buy rubbish, or stuff I wouldn't eat. Was also miffed because I'd paid for parking expecting a long shop!!!
After that I went to my regular Supermarket... Alas - it was DOUBLE nectar point weekend... and am afraid I shopped above and beyond my limit!!! £126!!! Botheration. I was like a man possessed!!! Nothing to be proud of but so many things on offer!!! I've gone through my receipt and the only bad stuff was some crisps, a couple of bags of sweets and a bottle of wine. The rest was healthy stuff - and lots was stuff to restock my cupboard (condiments etc). Add in Washing Liquid and... well... !!!!!!!!!
I was going to bow out of March's challenge as was feeling really annoyed. Why can't I just shop a week at a time??? It was the lure of the double points! However - I've decided to hang in here. I'm still allocating myself 'other spends' money, and am just going to write off my food spend as an expensive month. I'm not going to beat myself up over it - I've been working hard and I've overpaid on my debts this month already...
What it does mean, is that if I want to buy stuff like fruit/veg, milk etc - that will come out my spending money. Am still going to aim for 25 SFD... As I have already used 3 out of my 6 potential spend days - it's going to be a challenge. My next allocated spend day isn't until 12th so will just have to lock myself away until then...
On the plus - had a lovely evening with my ex (he is just an ex!)... watched a movie, meal and wine... Had forgotten what is was like to have a social life. I'm not very good with getting a balance at the moment - and I seem to be an all or nothing kind of guy. I need to learn the fine art of moderation and balance... I guess if I was already an expert at those things - I would never have got into debt in the first place... It's a learning curve - and I'm discovering lots about myself along the way.

Morning,
Poodlegal I couldn't comment yesterday as even the thought of the first offerings never mind the second would send me into a spin! I yearn for a dog but I am coming to the conclusion that it would cruel to us both - me and potential dog!
Abundant1972 I feel for you, I am so very similar, hooked in by offers and then feeling a bit guilty afterwards! I would probably write off the extras as next months budget, but not sure that's in the rules of this game?! Cheating?
Today the sun is shining, and I am determined. I have an essential purchase need for pet so won't be SF but will make headway on ebay targets, do full check of freezer and meal plan properly as its still a little hazy.
Making pies tonight, I only buy free range chicken as my guilt overrides my budget even when I can't afford it, so going to make 2 big chicken breast strrreeeeeetttcch! May look for recipe of chicken and veg pies.
Hope you will all have positive a day and that the sun is shining for you tooHappiness is wanting what you have...0 -
Good morning!
Managed an NSD yesterday, but as you can see in my sig I am well into my budgets. Food - that was the big shop on Sat as we were low on pretty much everything so £99 went on food (stocked up a few things for the month) and the other big spends were mainly nappies and a few things in B&Q for the seedlings. Shouldn't need to spend any money this week though apart from milk and need to be more vigilant about making food go longer, not that were wastfull I think.
EDIT: And most of all I need to avoid frittering. Which I'm in danger off everytime I have to bring my wallet to work. But today I was strong and kept that dragon at bay with my magic shield called motivation . I had to post 2 ebay items (still a NSD, as I can't wait with posting and it's paid for by someone else) but only got that and went straight back to my desk WITHOUT buying my usual Oh I'm out at the shops and get the "last packet of fags before I stop and crisps etc".DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Hi Warriors. I avoided the vending machines, cafe and junk -filled shop at work yesterday despite some stress. Went for a walk during my break instead. Today I have a round trip commute of 3 hours (as I do do every day) can I fend off the tempations? I will report back on the train this pm. How big is(are) the pie(s)? We used to use at least a breast per person  in stir fries and pies etc. But I also buy better quality chicken now and butcher it myself. Their breast are bigger anyway, so in a chicken pie that makes lets say 4 portions I'd use only one and my bulk it out with leeks, carrots, peas, mushrooms, leftover bacon etc.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Hello All!
Checking in after the weekend - compeltely forgot about our daily posting pledge  Hopefully I'll get better at that habit!
Not much to report - a couple of low spendy days and a couple of NSDs. Bank balance is looking very healthy this month - costs are sooo low staying with DPs. Thing is I have to keep reminding myslef that money is for debt repayments not free money! I'm doing OK with that so far, but a constant mental niggle.
Poodlegal the dog vension story made me giggle. My dog was always fond of rabbits, when she could catch them. Never put her off her proper tea either - but that's retrievers all over :rotfl:Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -

Yes it's cheating! I see where you are going with this mindset but you are living above your means already. These offers are just that - offers. You don't have to take them and they WILL be there next month. You probably don't need what you are actually buying but you are spending more than you should..? Are these supermarket own brand? Are you down-shifting?..“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0
