Hiya sorry for not checking in yesterday! March is not off to a great start spend wise although it was mostly planned. Yesterday I bought a cake for £1 at work in aid of comic relief and then went out for a meal and wine in the evening. I did at least take my lunch to work!

Today was M's first new swimming lesson and it went really well :) I took him for lunch after and we went to a brewers fair which cost £15. Roll on. The good weather when we can picnic! it has been nice and sunny here today but still cold! Tomorrow will hopefully be a SFD if not Monday will. One or the other I need to get hubby a birthday card and another pressie and will get my mums cards for her birthday and Mother's Day at the same time. I will also look for a gift for mum but might order her a photo book online. She will be 80 this month bless her.

    My budgets are as follows:-
    Groceries £220
    Petrol £120

I hope to make the £100 with eBay and Avon. Hoping for enough avon orders so I have reached my commission and have no excuse for buying any for myself. I am we'll stocked up with all things avon!

I have to take 2 cats to the vets this month for a check up and claw clipping. We have a takeaway or meal out planned for hubby's birthday on Tuesday and I am seeing a friend for a meal later in march. Nothing else social planned so not to bad. There will be no more takeaways. Hubby bought half a dozen bottles of wine the other day and these will see us through march.

I haven't been to slimming world for a few weeks and think I am going to try and save myself the money and do it on my own. I haven't been doing very well with it anyway since about October and have put a few pounds on since Xmas. My heart isn't in it at the moment but I would like to get back to my pre Christmas weight before our holiday in 5 weeks (can't wait)! Being inactive the past few weeks with my knee and having time to bake really hasn't helped :o

Had a busy afternoon painting and reprinting my purple feature wall in the kitchen. It looks fab :D I am worn out now tho!

Watching Harry potter with the boy and having a glass of red. Cheers

Had a lovely sfd till oh suggested popping to @sd@ cos he wanted some beers and it was more economical to buy from there than c©©p. Ok i said and ended up £8.39 worse off but have some fruit n Veg for the weekend. Not very impressed but we did avoid all junk food.x

Evening everyone, had a lovely day with DD3 baby shopping:) I bought her the bouncy cradle and pushchair cosytoes thingy, both from Mamas & Pops and as it was extra discount 10% day and it was an outlet shop I only spent just over half what I had budgeted for:T so Im a happy bunny. I was treated to some lunch and a drink, and then treated myself to some new socks from Primani, last of the big spenders me:rotfl:we had a really great time, had her and bump all to myself and it was lovely just to wander, sit and chat baby:)

So tonight I have had salmon, salad and new pots for my dinner, just 11 more fish meals to have before the end of the month:rotfl:

Off to update totals, as I have put the fuel in the car

Sounds like a lovely day NannyG! I used to love buying baby stuff when my lot were babies, the bouncy chair will be a godsend!
  • Evening all.
Pleased to clock in with my first spend free day. Was so good today that even when I realised I had forgotten to pick up Mothers day cards for my and the hubbys mums I got the girls on board with making some homemade cards. Off to mash the rest of my potatoes and then freeze in portions for the week - what a fab idea - never done that before!!!
Determined to be more successful this month than last.
Off to mums tomorrow for 'Christmas dinner' - can't wait!
    Happy weekend everyone!!!

Ninth Anniversary Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Hi everyone, hope you're having nice sat nights!
I very nearly had a NSD today but I spent 85p on a tea from BB's as I went for a hot drink and a chat with a colleague on my break today (and £5 on a bottle of Shiraz on the way home...ahem)

Pleased that I didn't spend anything on food though, all too easy to grab a meal deal everyday but last night I cooked one of the huge basics lazy agnes I bought from saino's on thurs and cut it into 6ths and boxed it up to fridge/freeze so took a portion of that in and a sandwich. I keep a box of Alpen and a bag of Porridge Oats at work so theres always something for brekkie. Tonight I made pasta, bacon, mushroom with a spoon of pesto and drizzle of double cream and boxed a couple of portions of that too. Working tomorrow too so I'll prob take that in for lunch!

I also withdrew £100 for my budgeted nights out; my birthday meal and my works xmas (I know) do: £20 each night, my haircut :£35 and food budget :£20 now (due to wine needage).
I've loads of food in the cupboards so should only need bread, fabric softener, milk, bacon, maybe some meat and potatoes... does anyone know where I can get a cheap sack of spuds?

I need to buy a couple of birthday cards too and a mothers day card but I'm fine for pressies as I give most people Clarins bits (used to work for them so have loads of "gift" sizes) :D

Aiming for a definate NSD tomorrow!
    night night xx

    Hi All
Planned spend day today, big shop, I tend to shop for two weeks at a time, its easier with my work patterns, so I made sure that planned menu for two weeks, made a list, and only bought what I needed, also should stop me 'popping' into a SM for this or that and end up spending!!!( I hope)

    so Food £94/£240,
    SFD 1/2
other than that i didn't spend on anything else,

Did make some vegi curry soup this afternoon, that portioned up in the freezer ready for lunches,

Hiya. Managed to tackle a couple of hours of public transport without succumbing to junk food and drink, which I usually do. I really like the concept of being a warrior against all the enemies lined up in the station concourse waiting to take money from me that I don't have. Thanks Kat! :T
