Hi everybody
Well 1st SFDHad a nice wee day out at my daughters today, she also made me lunch. Should be a good weekend, going to see CATS at Playhouse tomorrow (already paid for). Going to plan out some meals for next week, hopefully more interesting ones than last month.
Budget for food - £120
Sorting all my other bills out tonight
SFDs 25Total debt - £16,687.86 approx. - Paid so far - £13,156.30 - £350. a month to DMP - DFD 17/01/2019 But I WILL make it sooner!!0 -
So glad to see the first of March. In theory Feb should have been such a good month for us but turned out to be quite a disaster budgets wise, so taking that frustration forwards to March, turning it into a determination to succeed.
Months budgets are all set. Did a huge supermarket shop today after I had stock-checked the freezer. Then spent most of afternoon cooking for the freezer to make sure meals are prepared and ready. Think thats one of the things that sent me over my food budget last month was getting home late and it just being too late/ too exhausted to start cooking. Have made 2 large stews, 2 cottage pies, a lasagne, 2 bacon thingys and 3 large tubs of carrot and swede mash. Feel quite the domestic goddess!!!:rotfl:
Does anyone know if you can make and then freeze mashed potato - this would save even more time in evenings! Does it defrost and reheat ok?
Planning to make my £100 this month through two NCT Nearly New sales I have registered for. Have loads to sell and much easier to do it there than ebay as don't have to post everything. Reasonably confident I can make £100 here.
So glad to put Feb behind me and start afresh this month. Hope everyone is well and feeling positive?!?!?!?!

Please can I join:) Wasting money is such an issue for me - today already has not gone so well! Please please help me!
My budget for March is -
Petrol £200
Food £180
Other spends (including school lunches and clubs) £200
Total = £580
I spent money today, so that is 0/31 SFDsToday I spent £4.50 in greggs, £6.40 in Wilkos, £2.50 in clintons for OH mothers day card and £1 parking, that makes other now at £185.60.
£2 Savers club £0/£150
1p a day £/0 -
Me too lindsaygalaxy! First day of the challenge and I started all organised by bringing a nice, healthy lunch in with me into work but then peer pressure struck and I ended up spending £4.11 in Greggs. So annoyed at myself! Must be strong and not listen to the voices of spend-happy colleagues!!
Budget all set;
Food and drink £50
Meals out £25 (lots of birthdays this month)
Birthday/Mothers day gifts £45 (why do half the people I know seem to have been born in March?!)
Theatre £20
Much needed haircut £15 (starting to look like Rapunzel!)
Cinema trip £10
Travel £40
Miscellaneous £30
Total £235
Seems a lot but will be a struggle to stick to. I must be strong and keep out of the shops!0 -
checking in for the first day.
I did my first big shop of the month - 121.06 euros, which will see us through to next friday at least, except for green veg and bread. It does seem a lot compared to you all but food is quite expensive here I think.
Weave had a bit more good financial news with a tax refund but I am still going to be cautious and put it in the savings account whilst sticking to my budget.
We are going to plan a holiday in the autumn break though :jTrying to keep in budget.

Sorry. Not sfd today. Will explainMFIT -T5 #420

Well. Had my first ever MSE journey yesterday. All tickets paid in advance and food/drinks budgeted for. However, unexpected spend on a product I can't get at home but that spend will cover 12 weeks' spends elsewhere so had to go for it. Sorry Kat. But I am determined to meet the sfd target so will have to live with consequences. Onwards, upwards. Warriors unite!MFIT -T5 #420
