Woo hoo, end of day 1: nil spends in Siouxsie world0
-
Not a SFD for me either. I think there is definitely something about payday that takes rational behaviour away for the day...and it's really strange cos I know how much money I have to spend each week, payday doesn't increase that amount so very frustrated that I have spent so much...thinking £50  - some of that food and some entertainment as it was girly night out. Will work it out and update signature soon...very cross with self!
Any virtual backside kicks welcome.
Ps apologies for very late check in but me let loose on the www after drinks is never a good idea!Happiness is wanting what you have...0 -
Good morning- Poodle checking in!
Well yesterday was a spendy day- but it was on organised spends. I went to get passport photos for two of my children and very MSE put my £5 into the machine booth and got the 2 kids in question briefed and organised for one to get two pics done then to dive out and the other to dive in and get the next 2 done. :whistle:Only to realise that nowadays the booth only takes one pic and you get to approve it so i had to put another £5 in  to get the other one done and all my millitary operation MSE whent out of the window. Serves me right for being in the dark ages! So still reeling for the £5 down on budget popped off to the bank and decided to cash in a very old savings account that I thought had £50 in. Turns out it had £230 in so naughtily I treated the kids to tea out but the rest will go to the debt mountain!
Anyway, today will be a SFD i'm planning a long walk to tire out kids and dogs and then a bit of a cleaning day I think :starmod:
Have a lovely saturday peeps!0 -
Morning all. Yesterday was a SFD, partly because I had left my purse at home! Needed bread but have put the breadmaker on so thats taken care of.
This afternoon I am taking my mad but lovely rescue dog to a socialisation class for the first time, which I am very nervous about! It will only cost £3 though.
How nice to have a bit of extra cash Poodlegal! I would have treated the kids too.
My bank balance is fairly healthy at the moment - thanks to Kat and others for your inspiration. Trouble is I am having to fight the demons and resist the temptation to spend. Like Angel I know that all that money is spoken for but there is a bit of the old me saying I could treat myself.
OK - deep breaths, I am staying away from shops and online websites. Off to get a shower and get dressed now, have a good day all!0 -
Good morning!!!
No SFDs yet... Yesterday I went out in the evening for that leaving do and had healthy food so feeling very virtuousand today is also a shopping day to buy in some essentials and meeting an ex this evening for food...Will fill up the car and do necessary spends today too.
Planning on a cooking day tomorrow - to restock the freezer with quick healthy meals - chilli, stew etc.
My room is looking like a bomb site... That's the only problem with sharing a house - living in one room it doesn't take much for it to look messy! So a clean up in order too...
Catch you all later!!!

Right, have done the numbers and feeling better about it. Should be SFD today as plenty in and lots of housework to entertain me! Joy!
Then I am going to properly sort out the meal plan so I am completely sure of the spends I do need to do, make a list and sit on it for a few days if possible because I always forget something.
Glad you treated you and the kids poodlegal, it's just needed sometimes and as you didn't know you had the money you haven't lost anythingHappiness is wanting what you have...0 -

Hi everyone, just a quick one from me this morning as Im just waiting for DD3 to go baby shopping - looking forwards to it and all budgeted:):)
Need some milk today so I will have a quick look what else I need and get some bits so it will be a spend day today. Sun is shining here and its lovely sitting here in the front with it shining thro the window, trouble is its just shows how many fingerprints and dust there is on the laptop:rotfl:A good clean is in order after Ive switched it off.
Had fish last night for my dinner with new pots and veg, and tonight Im having fish again, I have 13 portions of it in my freezer and Im determined to get rid of it all this month, so hopefully Ill be ultra brainy and able to swim by the end of it:rotfl:
Anyway DD3 has just phoned and wont be very long so Ill pop in later.
