Should the current Aer Lingus strike go ahead next week (16th and 18th June), what happens regarding a refund of my hotel accommodation. I have been told by the hotel that they wont refund me should I not be able to travel, due to my booking a "non refundable advanced purchase". Are Aer Lingus responsible for refunding me?
I didnt pay by credit card and I didnt take out insurance0 -
Hi
Can anyone help me please?
I am trying to look at compensation for a 7 hour flight delay from Palma to Teesside in June 2009.
Only thing is on my travel documents it says the flight carrier was Futura (chartered)
Now I've found out Futura went into liquidisation in 2008 but if my flight was in 2009 surely there must be someone I can claim off?
How do I go about finding the correct airline carrier?
Thanks in advance!0 -

This is the flight delay forum. I would say, however, that AL are not responsible for your hotel booking.0 -
Unless you bought a package, and it seems you didn't, Aer Lingus have no liability whatsoever for your accommodation costs. Insurance would have been available but since the strike is now a known event, no insurer will cover it.0

Especially the bit in large red letters that say:
"AIRLINE BUST = NO CLAIM"0 -
It seems clear he didn't fly on Futura in 2009 since they had already failed so it might be possible the airline is still in existence. If you know the exact date of the flight try checking https://www.flightstats.com because there won't have been more than one flight to Teeside Airport. Which operator did you book through as they should have the replacement airline details?0

Thanks, fortunately the strike is off now so I dont need worry. But insurance might be a good idea next time!0

They went bust in 2008 Alan.

No one to claim against, as it doesn't appear that anyone took over the reins.
I'd say OP has the dates wrong.0
