Flight delay compensation, all other EU airlines

So, do you think I can get compensation, because they flew me to Paris while knowing that I won't be able to get to STR?
The reason for the delay was still weather which was outside the airlines control. Did you tell them you did not want to travel if you could not connect from CDG? Did you try to offload yourself and they refused?
Alternatively you could have been told to go home and come back the next day and you would have found AF cancelled 100% of their LHR-CDG flights on the 21st so you would not have been able to get to CDG to get a STR flight - with so many cancellations and pre Xmas I would expect many flights to be full so there may not have been any option to get you to STR any other way
You travel as you did and arrived in STR on the 21st instead of the 20th or they didn't send you on the flight and you would have got there on the 22nd (maybe) You stood more chance of getting to your final destination having got away from LHR
You are of course entitled to reimbursement of hotel and meals whilst you were delayed (this duty of care applies even when the delay is weather)0 -
my husband went on a short trip with 26 mates to bratislava. They booked with ryan air and flew from stanstead early hours friday morning due to fly back late sunday evening. On checking in on the friday they were told that their flight had been brought forward ( no explaination given) by 12 hours. Therefore their alrewady very short trip was shortened even futher and as they had to check in at 8am on the sunday, in effect they actually lost a day of their break. They were offered the earlier flight or a full refund but of course with 26 of them already organised etc they decided to just accept the alternative given. I am just wondering if they would be entitled to compensation?0

Am i too late to claim?
My son flew from Manchester to Athens and missed his connecting flight to Crete and missing his brother's wedding service.
He was delayed 12 hours in all.
I don't have a flight number and it was Olympian airways who no longer operate from Manchester. However, I do have payment details.
Anybody any idea how we can claim?0 -
