    That is a physical address, I have stepped inside the doors, it is actually BA's main centre and AA have obviously moved into one of the towers.

    I assumed you meant a PO Box with no obvious physical location. What's wrong with this; why is it not "ideal"?
    e.

    Well I trawled through this website and there is advice not to use PO boxes, and this is taken from the MCOL site:

    Note: It is not advisable to issue proceedings against a PO Box address, as you will not be able to enforce proceedings against this type of address.

    But I guess I will have to use the PO box as there doesnt seem to be an alternative.

    thanks all.

    This PO BOX is an internal one within Waterside, many are just 'convenience' addresses in dodgy newsagents premises or actually at the PO sorting office. Orient House really exists, I promise

    Hi all,
    Can anybody help pursue a claim against US Airways? I was due to fly DUB-PHL last month but it was cancelled due to a technical issue. US Airways offered $600 in vouchers which are not of any use. I replied citing the relevant cases (although Huzar vs Jet2 is difficult as its in the UK) and have not heard back since. The big issue I have is that I flew from Ireland. I can't find any info about an address they have there to write to them. Furthermore I have read from Ryanair cases that it is not advisable to take legal action within Ireland. Can I write to their UK address or take legal action against them in the UK?

    edit: I have just received a response from US Airways after I asked them to detail the technical issue that would be deemed as an extraordinary circumstance;
    After assessing the circumstances, our records indicate this was an unexpected situation. The aircraft had undergone all required maintenance and we took all measures appropriate to the situation that were technically and economically viable at the time; therefore no compensation under the EU Regulation No. 261/2004 is due.

    US Airways protects the privacy of internal records and documents including maintenance and technical reports. For this reason, I am unable to provide information regarding the details of the mechanical issue as requested.

    Hi looking for some advice booked trip with BA, Edinburgh to heathrow then on to Dallas, first part with BA then American Airlines to dallas flight delayed at heathrow for over four hours due to technical problems, fuel leak.
    As the whole trip was booked through BA should I claim against them or American Airlines and what are the chances of a successful claim on technical issues.
    Any advice welcome.

    claim is against the operating carrier (does not matter who you booked through or even if it had a BA flight number) so you claim against AA
    have a read of the Huzar thread re cases relating to technical issues, many airlines are not paying out till the appeal is heard
