the length of the delay is counted as the length from the original arrival time to the actual arrival time. You mention your flight was rescheduled...how far in advance was this...what does flightstats show?
  • I have written to easy-jet twice and e-mailed them over a flight delay from madeira to gatwick on the 6th october 2012 at7.15pm ,which was delayed because of a part needed being sent to madeira (funchai airport). My wife and i arrived 290 minutes late in gatwick on sunday 7th october at 3.45am.We sent the template letter with all the details and the last letter we said that if we did not hear soon then we have been advised to take legal action..We sent the letters to customer service,hanger89,london luton airport,luton,bedfordshire,LU29PF but the letters were not registered letters,to date we have not received any replys. We would be very grateful for any help towards the claim.

    Hi Paul, welcome to MSE.

This flight may have been mentioned already in these threads, perhaps do a search and read around the results.

    Hi,

To cut a long story short. I was on a delayed Easyjet flight (4hrs) back from Fuerteventura (Spain) in 2011. I complained and I was just told it was 'technical issues' so you get nothing. I emailed the Spain aviation authority (AESA) and they wrote a letter back saying I am due this compensation (it also mention EJ didn't respond to their investigation).

Anybody had any luck with Easyjet backing down after this? Or is it likely I'm going to have to take them to court (which I can't see how they could win)?
  • I have tried to find details on the site and cannot find posts relevant to our flight easyjet 8936 on 06/10/2012 from madeira to gatwick. We would be very grateful for any assistance to finalise this claim.

What details are you looking for and why do you need them to finalise your claim?

It was on a different day paul7777, next step would be to start a small claim as described in post number 2 of this thread on page one, if you don't want to do the small claims court thing consider using http://www.bottonline.co.uk/aviation/flight-compensation-claims-form

  • I have read the faqs but am still unsure how to proceed, or if I can claim at all.

My flight was cancelled twice from zurich to manchester in 2010 I dont know the reason they gave, but there was a lot of snow at the time, although other airlines operated as normal.

Am I able to make a claim at all?

In which case, your best (only) bet is to contact a no win no fee firm. Search the forum for NWNF
  • I received a reply today regarding my claim for compensation for our flight being cancelled on 03/04/2012.
Easyjet are claiming exceptional circumstances due to French air traffic control strike. But the strike was one day earlier on 02/04/2012. I believe it was more to do with the airplane staff being out of flight time as we had checked in and were in the departure lounge with 30 minutes to boarding. People were offered flights from other airports and we accepted a flight 4 days later.
what's your thoughts on taking this further ?
