Sorry about all the questions but it does matter in respect of your potential claim.
Did EJ give you option of re-routing, on a different airline if necessary?
Did you request to be booked on the next flight or did EJ do it of their own accord?
EJ simply said that my flight is not departing as planned, it is rescheduled for the next day. At This point I made it clear that this arrangement does not work for me and I wouldn't be traveling on the re-scheduled flight.0 -
But you didn't ask for a refund?
Was your rescheduled flight a routine, scheduled service ie next days normal flight? Assuming the same or similar flight goes daily? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

The replacement flight would've departed about 23 hours later from the original flight's planned departure so my guess is it wasn't a normal next day's flight.0 -
Hi VitS. I suspect it was. What was your flight number, date and route, we can check. Should be last question, for nowIf you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide
The alleged Ringleader.........0 -
The original flight details:
Flight number - EZY8883
Departure time (planned) - 29th March 2019 20:05
Route - LGW to AMS0 -
VitSmith - EJ run 4 0r 5 flights a day from LGW to Amsterdam. The alternative flight was probably just the next available routine flight.
The facts are that:
Your flight was cancelled apperently not due to an EC, therefore compensation due.
You were not offered an alternative option via another arirline that was convenient to you (required in the regulation)
Time to either:
Send an NBA then tkee them to court if necessary.
or
get a deadlock letter and refer case to the CEDR (then go to court if necessary)If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Thank you very much for your help and diligence JPears
I'll try the CEDR route and will post the outcome on here.0 -
Do easyjet have a charge for using CEDR?0
-
No, they cannot charge you, if thats what you mean.
CEDR can if you bring a 'vexatious' claim. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
As far as I remember, when we went to CEDR for BA, it cost £25. (We won btw). Was wondering if its the same for EasyJet.0
