What difference does it make if he flew with a different airline or stayed at home? Its non of EasyJet's business. It affects his entitlement. If he flew with another airline on the same day, he can claim the cost of that flight as well as claiming compensation.0

I am not 100% sure but from the information I was given on the day of the scheduled flight it was to do with delay departing from another airport.What was the reason that the crew exceeded their work hours?0 -

Did they make you sign anything to get the refund? Because if yes, it might have said that your taking the refund as a full settlement of your claims.0

Didn't have to sign anything, completed a claim form on their website and got a refund for the flight ticket. Then using the same email chain asked them about compensation and got a response that since I didn't travel on the replacement flight compensation is not payable. As mentioned previously replacement flight was departing almost 24 hours later.Did you ask for the refund or did EJ just process it unilaterally?0 -
Sorry about all the questions but it does matter in respect of your potential claim.
Did EJ give you option of re-routing, on a different airline if necessary?
