    Hi everyone
I booked 2 Easyjet flights as an unofficial connection. The first one was delayed by more than 3 hours, so I was going to miss the connection. My travel agent managed to change me to a direct flight, which arrived more than 3 hours after the original flight was supposed to land. Can I still get compensation because the only reason I changed was because of the delay?

Where is the EJ thread? Can't seem to find it. And what will flight numbers help? Seems irrelevant to me.

you will need to add the reason for the delay for the first flight - not all delays qualify for compensation

The first flight was delayed due to a technical problem with the plane, so if I would have styed on it I would definitely be entitled to compensation.

    Hello,
My flight from London to Amsterdam was cancelled due to staff exceeding working hours. EJ re-scheduled the flight to 24 hours later which I didn't take.
After filing a claim with EJ they refused a compensation stating that I should've traveled on the re-scheduled flight for me to be entitled to compensation. Is their assessment correct?
    Thanks

No. Article 5(c)(iii) states clearly that "(iii) they are informed of the cancellation less than seven days before the scheduled time of departure and are offered re-routing, allowing them to depart no more than one hour before the scheduled time of departure and to reach their final destination less than two hours after the scheduled time of arrival."
As you were offered re-routing arriving at final destination more than 2 hours after the scheduled time of arrival you are due compensation.

What was the reason that the crew exceeded their work hours?

You say that you didn't take the flight, but what did you do? Fly with an alternative airline? Stay at home? And at what point was your flight cancelled? More details please.
