I've only been emailing back and forth and now being ignored.

    What is Revolver?

You may also want to check your flight number. There was no 817 from Edinburgh to Gatwick on 22/07/2016 (or any route that date). The Edinburgh to Gatwick Easyjet flights scheduled on that date were 802, 806, 808, 812, 814.
Once you have the correct flight number you will be able to proceed

The excuse I have been given for a cancelled flight was air traffic control. However the app said it was because of flight crews out of hours because of previous issues with air traffic control much earlier in the day. I assume this is not related to my flight and not my concern as far as compensation is concerned?

I also know that the flight to my location never arrived which was why there was no plane. So surely there is enough distance between air traffic control and my flight for them to organise something?

Incidentally, is there ever a record of the reason flights were cancelled somewhere? All I really know is what they tell me... I can't prove why the plane never turned up

    Hi Herbalus,

Have you checked further up thread, there are a number of others with a very similar story, perhaps even the same flight!

    What were your flight details?

Almost certainly another EJ ruse to throw valid claimants off.

    Good luck.

I've tried looking at quite a few pages, but can't read them all! Perhaps I've been unlucky.

This was flight 8910 on last Saturday, so nobody here on same flight.

It just rankles that they can lie and I have no evidence to the contrary. I can't prove that it wasn't air traffic control for example, so if they carry on saying that I'll have to go to court.

If you haven't done it already put your flight details in to bottonline and then euclaim see what they have to say about any compensation due.

Put simply. You don't have to disprove it, they have to prove it. If they cannot prove, to a court if necessary, that it is an EC, they must pay you the compensation due.

If they claim it was an EC (extraordinary circumstance) the regs put the onus upon them to prove how and why it is an EC.

Spouting this type of ambiguous rubbish it is unlikely to persuade CEDR or a court. It's something EJ have been doing a lot of recently.

And if the CAA had a backbone they might do something about it but as we know they are in the pay of he airlines. Somebody should send them a bottle of white spirit to wipe that yellow streak from their back

    Hello
This may be a silly question but as I have never done a compensation claim before I wanted to make sure I have completed everything.
My husband and two childrens flight home from Dubrovnik was cancelled 7 hours before departure and the alternative flight offered by EasyJet was two days later. We had our flight refunded and arranged our own travel home to Belfast vis Glasgow. I have submitted the EU compensation form and the expenses form after being advised by a friend to upload all receipts from flights food etc to that form. Now we were notified last night that we have been successful in the compensation claim and will receive 400 euros each which is great but what I need to know is that the end of it?
Should we be happy with this amount to cover the flights home or should we be expecting the expenses form to cover the cost of the new flights from Dubrovnik to Glasgow and Glasgow to Belfast? This sound like too good to be true to me ? I have had no response from EasyJet re the expenses form so far. From reading online it sounds like it may only cover food at the airport etc.

    Many thanks in advance
