They take as long as you let them.
What date was your flight?
What date did you put your claim in?
4 weeks from submission of your claim, IMO, is reasonable.
If its any longer than that, time to send an NBA.If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Pretty certain they've had it more than 4 weeks will get it sorted. Thanks 👍🏻0

I put a claim in to Jet2 on the 27th August for 4 passengers on flight LS274 on 24/8 from Alicante to Leeds Bradford that arrived just over 3 hours (3hrs and 20mins) late into Leeds Bradford arriving at 02:52 am on the 25th rather than the scheduled arrival time of 23:35pm on the 24th. I received a letter from Jet2 dated the 11th September acknowledging receipt of my claim and that they would be in touch, fast forward till now a month later and I've heard nothing else. So like HSJ really I'm wondering what to do next, give them a bit more time say till the end of this month or should I start chasing it up now? What's an NBA by the way and is there a template for it? I'm tempted to go the Bott and Co route as I'm fairly confident the airline doesn't have a leg to stand on with this one and some money is better than nothing and I'd rather have it sooner than later (in time for Xmas would be nice...)

Welcome. You need to download Vauban's superb guide, make a large mug of tea, some biscuits and read it. Read it again and you'll know what to do. Then come back if any more questions. What was the reason for the delay? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

EDIT JP Quick of the mark as ever lol
Hi Andy,
The first step is to read Vaubans guide, that will tell you all you need to know, my advice would be to send an NBA that should make them take you more seriously. A NBA is fully explained in Vaubans guide together with a template letter.
What was the reason given for the delay ?After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

I sent an NBA on Friday. Waiting patiently for the response to land in my letterbox. Sent it recorded so I know they have it.
Hopefully we will both get our money owed before too long.
Best of luck to you!0 -

On the morning of the flight when we used the resort check in they told us that they didn't have enough planes and we would be flying with Titan Airways , when we got to the airport we were told to go to the check in desk (despite in theory not having to check in as we'd already done that in resort) and given a letter stating the flight would be delayed by an hour and 40 mins , in the end obviously it was a longer delay than that , not taking off until just after 1am local time as opposed to the scheduled departure time of 9.30pm. When we boarded the plane we were told the reason for the delay was 'technical problems' and having to get another plane from Birmingham I think it was. As I said I can't see how they've got a leg to stand on really0 -
Hi Andy,
I too was delayed on the Alicante to Leeds.
Mine was on August 20th - flight LS272.
I sent my letter off by recorded delivery the very next day. Got a standard reply two weeks later. Gave them one week more and sent a letter before action, again recorded delivery.
I have pestered them so much by calling at least every two days.
Today's 'customer service' rep told me "I'm not allowed to say too much but I can see it has been settled and something will be with you in the next two or three days".
So sounds like I'm getting paid out less than eight weeks from the flight, which isn't bad going?0 -
