I am pleased that zAndy has received his compensation, and the others.
I, on the other hand, have started the ball rolling with Bott and Co. I am loathed to do so though due to the % cut they take per person.
Just to refresh. I put a claim in on the 29th August, chased up with an NBA on 5th October. Standard letter received from J2 after both letters sent and received by them...I know I am just over the 2 week wait from my NBA. Do I wait it out this week before signing the docs from Bott and Co?
Contact J2 by telephone?
Or, resign myself to begrudgingly losing a hefty % of our compensation by taking it legal?
I know of 2 other groups who I have helped with claiming (albeit different airlines) and they have received their compensation within a week of submitting their claim. I am getting extremely frustrated.

I’m afraid nothing happens quickly with J2, I’d wait a few more weeks, then you can always start legal proceedings yourself- you don’t need to use the services of a solicitor unless your case is unusual, not clear cut or you personally can’t be bothered to handle the basics yourself. After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

Hi all
I got back on a Jet2 flight yesterday and we were delayed by 3 hours 32 on departure.
I have looked on flight aware and it says we arrived 2 hours 58 minutes late. Is this the actual landing time or will they take into account the time it took to stop and open the doors. We also had to stop on the plane for 15 minutes as there were no busses to pick us up.0 -
The time for arrival defined legally is the time the doors open (actual departure time is not relevant). So the actuall journey time is not landing or taxing, its doors open. If there wasn't a bus, I doubt they opened the dootrs until there was.
Use an online checker to get their opinion ( Botts or EUcliam)If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Looked on Botts or EUcliam botts said yes EUclaim said no.0 -
Put up your flight detils here - date, route, flight number, times etc. we may be able to track its movements with times.
In the meantime, put your claim into Jet2. It will take ages to get a response anyway. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

I was delayed 20 hours on a return flight from Antalya to Newcastle. This was due to engine problems on the plane that was due to leave Newcastle. They replaced said plane with a plane they flew to Newcastle from Manchester. Outbound passengers where delayed unknown to me how long. However due to staff working hours our flight was scheduled for the next day. We were put up in a hotel for the evening and given voucher's for airport. Am I likely to receive any compensation.0

All most certainly yes. Firstly put your flight details into bottonline and euclaim and see what they say. If you are due compensation it will be €400 per passenger.0

Hi Bradders1983,
In a word, yes.
Technical problems are NOT an excuse to refuse compensation.
Put in a claim for EU261 compensation of €400 each via their website. There is no reason why they should refuse your claim if the reason you were given is correct.
Good luck. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -

EDIT - posted before I noticed Tyzaps excellent reply
And now justice... ohh time to hold my head in shame I’m getting too old for this (hoping that the regulars will disagree lol )
OMG! Where do we start well some good advice would be to read Vaubans excellent guide....
...... I mean it looks like you have a valid claim, but at least they provided you with a hotel, tonuge out of cheek - it certainly sounds like you have a genuine claim - read Vaubans guide and then come back here if you have any queries ...
Good luck
