As an aside, I have just looked on FR and almost the whole J2 fleet is airborne over Europe and all heading North to the UK. Weird sight. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

I can only assume that’s because Jet2 basically work on rotation from UK. Each aircraft roughly going out and back twice a day (possibly three times), with a bit of down time overnight for maintenance.
Monarch springs to mind as an exception, but that was coupled with an exodus of aircraft from the ME en-route to UK. They had been chartered to repatriate British holiday makers.0 -
I can find no record of additional Jet2 arrivals (from Manchester or elsewhere) or additional departures from Malaga on 20/08/18. I think that on 20th you were bumped from a full regular flight LS186 at 12:05 and put on the next days regular LS266 at 21:30.
So it would appear your orginal LS186 flight on 19th was cancelled not "delayed".
= 2 lots of compensation. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Yes, I agree LS186 was cancelled.
The aircraft scheduled to operate it, G-LSAI doesn’t seem to have flown since. Not sure whether that’s because the data isn’t there or the aircraft is still being repaired. It won’t surprise you, JPears, when I tell you it’s 30 years old!0 -

I think you're desperately clinging to straws now JP:mad:
Too many assumptions and not enough facts for me to accept.
It took me 5 mins to find the flight, call sign EXS2AD (G-LSAE B757) which flew from MAN to AGP and then returned to LBA, arriving at 23.00 UTC.
What you're suggesting is that a full complement of passengers on a 757 was shoehorned onto and already (probably full) 737 the next day:eek:, you must be using Tyke logic for that one!
= One claim per passenger of 400 euros. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
My bad, I am corrected, as I expected to be. I did search high and low but obviously did not in the right places or websites!
Its odd that I could find no mention or record of the replacement flight on several websites, looking at departures from Malaga or arrivals in Leeds.
Easy now I have the flight code
Which one(s) did you use for future reference?
I would still contend, this is re-routing on a new flight ....
And my straws are paper so at least they are enviroment freindlyIf you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Rather than using 3rd party websites, which can be wrong, I use Planefinder to do a playback. You can go back years and its free. The flight back, from what the op said, was a B757, arriving at AGP from MAN and a delay time was also given (26 hrs). From that you deduct a rough time for the departure from AGP, I started search about 30 mins before the flight departed and then followed it back to LBA.
It's a simple but effective way of getting flight information, although it can take some time on occasions.
It's not a rerouting or a new flight because the original aircraft went tec and a replacement was brought in to operate that flight in its place, all be it very late. All the passengers from the first flight would have been transferred to the replacement. It's classed as a delayed flight which is why I posted yesterday, quoting the regs about the difference between a delayed and cancelled flight.
As I also pointed out, my case was very similar to this and was scrutinised at the very highest level by legal minds far superior to ours. They only allowed one claim, not that the question actually came up. On that basis I rest my case:)Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -

Hope its not doing my ALicante flight in a fortnight...
Maybe the relatively young <20 year old lease from Titan Airways 757?
The Titan Airways 757 is the one we flew out to Paris on, even used Titan crew I believe. I think the only reason my outgoing flight wasn’t delayed is because it was operated by Titan lolAfter reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!
