I got a Judgment in Default.
Now I need to work out who to ask for the money. But I'll give it a week before I do.
I must say a big thanks for all those who have helped with their advice. What a fantastic resource this board is. And mine was quite a tricky case as I think I was one of the last fighting the two-year limit in court and a manufacturing defect.0 -

Congrats, :j:T:j
They should now pay up, give them 14 days and then http://thesheriffsoffice.com/high-court-enforcement/enforce-county-court-and-high-court-judgments
I'll keep an eye out for it on the BBC's The Sheriffs are coming
Well done

Thanks Novice.
I hope they don't appeal, but I think they have seven days as it was a judgment without a hearing. Although there are no instructions about this in the order.
I got a good judgment, basically everything I asked for, including meals, 0.79 exchange rate, and 8% interest going back to 2011. The only thing I didn't get was £50 for sundry items that I stuck on at the end (without receipts, so I'm not surprised)
BTW - Who pays, the jets or the birds?0 -

To get 8% interest is a superb result and with the effort you've put into this you deserve it, that's probably why the DJ gave you the maximum he could.
Ultimately, it will be Jet2 that pay you, the birds are just acting for them. If the Sheriffs do get involved then all you pay is a small admin fee of £60 the Sheriffs costs and even the admin fee will be refunded by Jet2 so it's a no cost option really.
In my case, the payment was made direct to my bank account, otherwise I would have photocopied the cheque and had it wall mounted:D
Cheers,

They would have to convince a Judge that they have a realistic chance of winning the case, or that new evidence has just come to light which of course they don't have so I can't see them applying for one. After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!
