After 3 years and countless letters, we received a cheque for the full 600 Euros x2!!!!!

Our last letter was a NBA a few months ago. We were just about to start a small claims action.

Thanks to all on here for the info.

Keep fighting. I think they know the game is up!!

Glad you won in the end, but why did you waste three years of letter tennis, the NBA ideally should have been in three years ago, remember the two year limitation that they were trying to hide behind, when Dawson had already settled the matter at six years..

Response within 28 days - holding letter etc

No further correspondence until yesterday with a letter and a cheque.

Not seen the letter yet but will do so on Sunday and report back

We got 2 cheques for me and partner £287.51 each!!! Came in post today. Coming home from Tenerife flight LS918 delayed November 2014 for 12 hours, we sent letter used template off here, got same reply as others extraordinary circumstances, nearly gave up but read someone's comment on here about a month ago, she won comp, she gave a template on here, so I copied it and sent it off about a month ago, didn't think we'd hear anything, today got the cheques, we are so happy!!! This will go to pay towards our next holiday!!!!!

Thanks Barbra50 for your post 30th April 2015, I had the same response from jet2 as others, but saw your post, I copied your template that you posted thought I'd try it that was about a month ago, didn't think we'd hear anything, got two cheques in post today each for £287.51 €400.00 euros each!!!! Thanks to your template!!!! Just goes to show DON'T GIVE Up, if you get the same fob off from Jet2, try using Barbra50's template like I did, thanks again and good luck to everyone on this forum 😃😃😃:beer:

Flight LS875 on 16/07/2014 from Manchester to Faro arrived 6 hours and 15 minutes late. Got given £27 worth of food/drink vouchers on the day between two of us.

Sent initial complaint using the template on here via e-mail on 22/07/2014 and received an auto-response the same day saying all flight delay complaints needed to be sent in writing instead.

Posted template letter recorded delivery with re-prints of original e-boarding passes on approx 23/07/2014 and received a holding letter back from them dated 28/07/2014.

Received a further letter dated 16/09/2014 claiming extraordinary circumstance and quoting Huzar vs Jet2 and that our claim would be on hold until the outcome of that was known.

Forgot all about this until last night when I was going through some old paperwork and then as if by some strange premonition, I come home today to find a letter with 2 x cheques for £290.60 each.

We're so grateful to MSE for the template letter which saved time/hassle/stress and got us the desired outcome.

I've just received a cheque for €1000 for 4 of us. I'm thrilled as I wasn't expecting it. Many thanks MSE for your template letter and advice.
