Perhaps this is how Jet2.com propose they should settle compensation claims as well?

About 4 years ago we were delayed for about 16 hours from tenerife to manchester. At the time we were given £100 compensation. Reading the forum I think we should have got more! Have I given up the right to my claim by accepting their first offer?0

It depends if any conditions were attached to your compensation. About 4 years is a bit to general if you advise actual date I could be more specific re advise as over 4 years tends to be cut-off time for no win no fee firms.0

hello,
We were delayed for 16hr in Lanzarote last sunday. I've got all necessary details and have drafted a complaint letter based on MSE template. We were made to wait for 3 hours at the airport without much information until they finally said there was a technical problem that could not be fixed until the following day.
My question is - do I need to mention Huzar vs Jet2 in my letter?
Thanks!
also - should I send the letter by post or email is ok?0 -
Hi nat38,
You need to do a lot more reading Jet2 are seeking leave to appeal to the supreme court with reference to the Huzar judgement.
It is highly unlikely that your case will be considered even by the Courts until a decision on this is made - (expected early Nov 14) and IF granted it will be next Spring before any decision is made.
You can certainly complain to Jet2 and issue Notice Before Action, it makes no difference if you mention Huzar or not at this stage, read the last few posts on this thread and here:- https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4815669
No harm in issuing the NBA though read the excellent guides on here.
