You have nothing to lose by waiting until permission for Jet2.com to appeal has been granted or denied by the SC. If, however, permission is granted it could be a considerable amount of time before the appeal is heard and judgment handed down. You need to be aware of this as by then you may well be nearing the 6 yr time limit for bringing (court) action.
An alternative path is to hand over your claim to a NWNF company.0 -

Read the FAQs and please post any questions not answered there on the relevant airline thread.
There are also lengthy threads discussing the case law if you want to use the search function.0 -
Thanks for that.
I have also tried through a claims company but for some unbeknown reason, they cannot find the flight on their system. Odd.0 -
Hi Everyone,
I'm a newbie here. I book booked a package holiday through Jet2 for June next year. Nearly two weeks ago I received an email stating my flight would be delayed by over 8hours. I contacted them to say this was not suitable and the girl offered to move my holiday forward by one day. However she soon came back to me to say the price of the holiday a day in advance had gone up in price and that I would have to pay an extra £300+. I completed the template from Martins Money Tips for compensation and have just received another email stating that I am not entitled to anything under Jet2 Terms & Condition. Please see email. The only reason I did book with Jet2 was not only due to the good flight times which are more suitable for travelling with my children but I was meant to meet my parents for the last two days of their holiday and now my whole day will be wasted.
Good morning,
Thank you for contacting Jet2holidyas Operations Team.
First of all let me take the opportunity to apologise for the inconvenience the flight change has caused you. But as you were informed by my colleague on the telephone, the change is under 12 hours and as per our terms and conditions you are not due a compensation or refund for the delayed flight.
We are able to amend your holiday for you without administrations fees. We are within the ABTA guidelines with the flight changes. If you wish to move your date forward you would need to pay any cost difference.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any further assistance. Our opening hours are 08:00-19:00 Monday to Friday and Saturdays 09:00-18:00, please contact us via email or by calling 0800 408 7391.
Many thanks
Sandy

Is this right? Can they do this?
I'm really upset
Thank you for any response

Tori unfortunately I think Jet2 are correct however unless the day earlier is dramatically different I fail to see why there should be a £300 increase - have you checked yourself? If there is no great difference then maybe email a senior bod at Jet2 and put forward your case for them not levying the extra cost.0

And I would check ABTA regulations thoroughly regarding this matter.
Airlines are not unknown to be incorrect or misinterpret/economical with the truth regarding vrious regulations....:(If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

compensation would only apply if you were given less than 14 days notice. As the flight is not for another 10 months there is no compensation due so you are restricted to Jet2's Ts&Cs....so far in advance I would not be surprised if the times don't change again as the schedules for next June are unlikely to completely finalised0 -
Dear Martin
I have following question , if u can help.
I was to board emirates flight from Manchester airport.i checked in online and
Collected by boarding passes with about 90 mins to flight ( 19:30--21:10).
In security it took very long and they told me I can't board the flight. I had emirates
Air hostess standing next to me all this time. They actually informed me at
20:50 that I wil not be allowed on flight because of delay.and the flight did not
Took off till 21:45 .
I was offered booking on next day flight.
Can I claim compensation for refusal to boarding from flight
Or from Manchester airport ?As my total delay was more than 12 hours.
I have got insure and go black policy.
Kind regards

Hi Pallav,
This is a Jet2.com thread, you would be better off posting in the following thread... https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4445423
I'm also pretty sure, Martin doesn't answer many of the threads personally anymore, might be better just asking for anyones help.
Cheers

Hi, we’ve had to remove part of your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Perhaps this is how Jet2.com propose they should settle compensation claims as well?
