    Dublin is. They'll be well versed👍
    Successfully sued Ryanair in 2013/14...and have been 'helping' litigants since then.

  • One of Ryanair's lawyers has just phoned us.  We have put in a European small claims form for the cost of flights that we could not take due to my husband shielding as he has leukemia.

    The lawyer started by offering a voucher for 12 months, which was extended to 24 months when we said we'd prefer cash.  We have said we prefer cash due to not being clear if we will be able to travel abroad safely in future.  The lawyer said he would go back to Ryanair to discuss this and get back to us today.

    So - should we stick to our guns and say full refund or go to court? - I'm thinking we should as they clearly don't really want to go to court.

    I'm a bit worried about them delaying things beyond the Brexit deadline.  Today was 30 days after the claim was registered and the lawyer was talking about putting a blank defence - I'm not sure what that is.

    We'd be really grateful if anyone has any thoughts or advice.

    assuming the flights operated I would have thought this was a claim from travel insurance rather than airline. No rights to refund and a voucher would be a gesture of goodwill
    There is the chance that Ryanair decide to just agree to save the hassle and costs of going to court ...or they may be concerned that by giving a refund when one not due would open up the floodgates to other similar claims so allow the case to go ahead

    Hi
    Had RyanAir flight cancelled (more than 2 weeks in advance).  I have asked them to move the flight, but they are just quoting the "free flight move terms and conditions at me" and trying to get me to pay for the difference in cost of seat.  The CAA website states that I have right to move to a later date at my convenience.  Does anyone know if there is a limit to how far I can delay.  I would like to move from November to July.

    Posted on here following a 3hr 7mins delay from Liverpool to Milan (FR1433) on 4th April 2019 (3 people) and after some very helpful input from Tyzap pursued the case via Bott and won! 
    A very long process but Bott were brilliant throughout. Finally received compensation in September 20 😊

  •  I'm experiencing wall of silence from Ryanair. Submitted EU261 compensation claim directly via Ryanair website as result of 4.5 hr flight delay on 07.10.20. Flight was from Dalaman, Turkey to Dublin. After we all boarded flight pilot announced that delay was due to a technical fault. It's been 45 days since I submitted claim form and I'm struggling to get a any response/update. Did email customer services, quoting customer service number received when I submitted claim form, but got a standard convoluted reply about flight refund voucher which has nothing to do with my EU261 claim.

    Managed to get some life out of Ryanair after complaing about them on One Show's twitter feed. Via DM managed to get some sense out of them.
    They claim, incorrectly, that both cancelled flights were replied to with a refund voucher.
    They weren't.  I requested a refund in both cases, not a voucher. They insist they sent an email with voucher. They didn't.
    After now approaching a decade of airline lies I've learnt to keep every email communication.
    2 weeks on, finally received confirmation of payment to be made. Who knows when though.

    Well blow me down, actually received both refunds.  6 months after they cancelled flights.
    Easyjet refunded within 2 weeks.
