Wow good result in itself! I've no good advice I'm afraid, but it's handy to know that this process works in so much as Ryanair is found liable. My only small suggestion would be to go to the press- Ryanair refusing a court order is surely a new low!May'18 DEBT FREE!

Having jumped through all prescribed hoops so far, I eventually (after a fair bit of tooing and froing) received notification that the European Courts had awarded in my favour and demanded Ryan Air pay out in the region of £1500. They were told they had a month to pay, after which their credit rating would suffer etc. I thought that would probably do it.
But a month later, still no response/payment from them. Anyone else in a similar boat? What can I do to get them to actually cough up?
Well done prodigyson that's a great result.
Did the Court give you the European Small Claims Procedure Form D? If not, then you should ask them for this.
Form D will allow you to have the Judgmen enforced in Ireland.
Find an enforcement agency in Ireland (Have a look on Google) and give them Form D.
If the law is the same as in England then they'll do it for free, as they recover their costs from the Defendant. Definitely check with them first though.0 -
I will follow up as you suggest. Being a bit lazy I was able to find a copy of form D online
I'm not able to post links (annoying) but if you search for "Regulation (EC) No 861/2007 of the European Parliament " and click the link provided, it is contained in the Annex of the (English version) of the download available from this page.

Hoping someone can give me some advice, we were delayed in Majorca for 5 days - due to French air traffic controllers strike. Although Ryanair did provide hotel accommodation for the 5 days, we did incur expenses. I have sent a letter on 18 June to TRY to reclaim this, how long should I expect to wait before I get any acknowledgement?0

How do i start court proceedings against Ryanair?
Ive looked through the started stuff linked on page one but i dont understand.
I have sent the "Centipede100 Template letter" to which Ryanair responded with basically:
"However, I must advise you that our position remains unaltered and because this cancellation was outside Ryanair's control (extraordinary circumstances) we regret to advise that no compensation is due under EU261."
They have noted that my expenses are being refunded by a cheque thats been sent out - so at least thats something.
I am trying to follow the next step in page one, "Explanation of the legal process of NBA, 14 days notice before court claim." but dont understand how i get off the ground.
Can someone push me in the right direction and maybe offer some advice as ive never had to take a complaint this far before.
Its very assuring to hear the latest news that a consumer has posted that they have won the battle for compensation.
Thanks in advanced for any advice.0 -

I was in exactly the same situation. We also got stuck at Palma airport - maybe we met you!
I sent a letter asking for a response in 14 days, it was a little later that i got a response.
I sent copies of receipts etc to their fax number and also sent a letter in the post of the same contents as my fax.
I have been told they issued a cheque for my expenses yesterday. You SHOULDNT have any problems getting expenses back if you can back them up. Also, just send copies, not originals.
Let me know if you need any more help as its quite fresh in my mind and looks like i am a bit further along in claiming that you. Although i am trying to get compensation for a flighjt that was delayed a day after the strikes for what they are calling "an unexpected operational fault".0 -
I just sent a letter to their Dublin address also requesting a reply within 14 days, although I sent original receipts, I have photocopied them all, not sure now whether I should fax these. Do you have the fax number? Also did you send your letter before 18th June? Many thanks in advance.I was in exactly the same situation. We also got stuck at Palma airport - maybe we met you!

Yes you should fax as i never got a response from mailing them - I had to send Int 1st class royal mail.
On my fax and letter i put my contact details at the top with my email and phone number. They reply by email all the time from a standard address - to which you cannot reply to the email. Once i got a email reply with a document attached i had to send my response via fax again.
Fax number is on their website. I have the number as 00353 1812 1676. You will have to remove the Irish international code if you are in Ireland.

See blondmark's posts in this thread about the EUROPEAN small claims procedure.
Thanks.
When completing a claim form, what have people been using for the Ryanair address?
I only have:
Ryanair
Customer Service Department
PO Box 11451
Swords
Co Dublin
Ireland
Dont think i can use that address as its asking for a postcode to 'look up' the address.0
