Apparently you “landed” at 18.38. You were scheduled to land at 15.50. So it would depend on how long the flight took to taxi and for them to get the first door open. It’s not possible for me to check that.

In my rejection letter Ryanair quoted 169 minutes late therefore it was under the 3 hour delay time...fair enough, but why pay 11 of my friends compensation who were on my flight, that is the baffling part of it !!

So 12 minutes to taxi and get the door open with airbridge/stairs in place. Thats I tight one and Ryanair pilots can taxi like Raikkanon sometimes...

If RA are correct and have paid your friends in error lets hope they don't try to re-claim... ;)

So the payout on the delay is 3 hours from doors opening, not touchdown ?? Because I have seen different opinions on that ??

I know, I will not be very popular if that happens....but surely they cannot do that ???

The court has decided that its the time the doors open.
So in future, if the time limit is getting close make sure youo have video or photo evidence of the time the doors open.
We are waiting for the day we receive a report that an aircraft door opens before the aircraft has even come to a standstill... :)

They can try but any of the regulars here would give RA a hefty dose of their own medicine...

    Yes, from first door open.

That is so odd that they have paid compensation to your friends. I can only assume they would do that because It did take some time to taxi. Can you remember whether you had to wait for stairs / an air bridge?
