Hi all,
My flight was cancelled by Ryanair the night before i was due to fly. Scheduled flight time was 11:05 on 15th July 2018. At the time of cancellation they gave no reason. I put in a claim through Resolver. They have now replied stating ATC restrictions beyond their control therefore no compensation. I appreciate if this was the reason for cancellation then no compensation can be claimed however it sounds an easy opt out for them. I know this same flight was also cancelled the following week. Flight was from Bristol to Malaga. I do know the inbound flight from Malaga was also cancelled on the 15th. Is there any way to check if the reason is legitimate or do i just have to take their word for it and drop the claim?
Thanks everyone

Hi Helen,
There are so many strikes and possible ATC restrictions that it's very hard to keep track of where and when they took place.
I'm sure RA wouldn't have any problem quoting ATC at you as a convenience to avoid a compensation payment.
I would suggest taking your case to ADR and asking them to verify that their refusal is based on factual information which they have refused to detail to you.
The route is still open to use ESCP at a later date if required.
Good luck. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
Hello everyone,
I am hoping someone can help me - 5 of us (across 2 bookings) were due to fly back from Bremen to Stansted (Flight FR3631) last night at 21.45. We were informed this was cancelled a while after this was due to be leave after only previously being told this was delayed (22.22 text and 22.33 email received) but there was only one poor RA attendant left at the gate who didn't really know the procedure and simply said whatever we had to do just ensure we kept receipts to claim back.
We were then turfed out of the airport and sat outside trying to look for alternative flights from both Bremen and other airports in Germany to no avail as all were selling out over the coming days with the next feasible option from Bremen now on Wednesday. As we needed to be back for work today etc and with it being so late and no one to talk to we decided to arrange a taxi to Brussels to get the early morning Eurostar back to London to pick up our cars. Now we've had to shell out nearly £2000 between the 5 of us to get back and I would like to know the best approach for me to take to look at claiming as much back as possible.
So I have now had a response to my claim relating to the above - RA have offered a full and final settlement of 750EUR as compensation for the 3 passengers on my booking (the other two will get theirs separately)
However RA are saying I have received a refund for this flight and so I am not entitled to anything further for my additional travel expenses, saying that this claim is now resolved from their point of view. I didn't request a refund and have never received one either so now they are just making things up - is it worth challenging them directly on this or should I go straight to AviationADR as per the notes on my reply from RA?If you can be one thing today, be kind.0 -
At the time of the cancellation did you get offered or ask for a refund.0

I was offered one at the time but didn't take it in case it affected my claim in any wayIf you can be one thing today, be kind.0

Having spoken to their call centre, a refund was processed today without my instruction. If you can be one thing today, be kind.0

This airline really is turning into the most dispicable, disingenouous and predictably atrocious outfit.
Time, sir to send an NBA then ESCPIf you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Take your case to the ADR and submit the AESA report as part of your evidence. It carries little weight in a UK court but possible is helpful withthe ADR system.
thanks, will do.
unsure how to log a claim with them tho, googled ryanair complaint and adr and 'aviationADR' comes up but looks like a claims management company? is this the right site?
many thanks0
