Flight delay and cancellation compensation, Ryanair ONLY

Hi,
I have tried contacting Ryanair several times now and either not getting an answer or I am getting an incorrect answer to my question.
I have contacted them using their customer contact form which you can complete if you say you have a complaint. However, the replies have just been a standard reply asking me to send a letter to Ryanair (Dublin) for the correct information, which is ridiculous. I have also sent a couple of emails to info@travelplanner.ryanair.com, which is in reply to an email they sent me. However, I have not had a response at all.
Maybe I am getting it wrong but can anyone suggest an email address I can use.
Thank you for any help.

I have already sent a letter to Ryanair (Dublin) by airmail with proof of postage asking for compensation etc. I just had a couple of question I wanted them to answer.
When you say snail mail, do you mean Royal Mail? sorry for sounding thick lol.

BTW SueD ryanair and their legal people do read these forums, so perhaps best to discuss your situation with a separate unidentifiable log-in user name.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Thanks Richard but SueDerbyshire is not my name lol. I am always on top of securty and don't give too much away.
Wise advise though. Thank you.0 -
Last week my partner and I were at Bydgoszcz Airport waiting on a flight to Prestwick , there are no departure boards in the lounge and the announcements did not sound like they were in English . A member of the gate staff approached us and asked to see our boarding passes. He checked them , marked them with a highlighter pen and then tore off the bottom section . I checked with him these were for the 20:45 flight and he did not mention that this flight was now boarding . Unaware we sat for a while longer in the Dep Lounge but became alarmed when suddenly the gate staff all vanished . When we enquired , the flight had left WITH MY LUGGAGE ON BOARD. There had been no final call for us by name or call to collect my luggage , it transpired that this was because our boarding passes had been scanned at the gate from the torn off slip even though we never went through it . There was no head count on the plane apparently and therefore it was never identified that we weren't on it to do a final call or remove the luggage. No help was offered at the airport other than to register that my bag was enroute to Glasgow without me and give me a tracing code (which incidentally never worked) . I incurred considerable expenses getting a hotel for the night and the next day we travelled by train across Poland to catch a flight from Gdansk to Glasgow via Wizzair all at my expense. I wouldn't have believed it could happen in a post Lockerbie world if it hadn't happened to me . I have written to Ryanair with my receipts demanding compensation however I wondered if anyone has ever had any success getting money out of Ryanair and what my chances are of success?0

Hi
I've had a read through this thread but I'm still a bit unsure if I have grounds for a claim. Wonder if any of the experts can help?
We were flying back to Edinburgh in May after a holiday in florence (from Pisa airport). Our flight was due to depart in less than an hour. The Ryanair queues had already started to form when the board at the gate changed to show a 40min delay. No explanation, no staff around. After 30mins an announcement came over the tannoy that our flight had been diverted and we'd get more into in 15 minutes. That turned into 30 and then an hour. Eventually, after almost two hours they announced we were being bussed to Bologna to catch the flight. The delay was due to thunderstorms in Pisa...but every other airline had managed to land planes!
Then it became even more of a shambles! The announcement told us all to go to a check in desk to get our bags back but on arrival there no Ryanair staff were present. We waited around until eventually some airport staff brought the bags on trolleys. It was carnage as people just grabbed bags off the trolly.
We then waited around another couple of hours until an announcement told us where to go to get the bus. Still no Ryanair staff. Two hours on the bus to Bologna airport where we eventually got a flight. 6.5 hour delay.
When we were on the plane a few people asked about free food or drink and the cabin crew said we should have had something in the airport so weren't entitled to anything on the plane.
On landing I received an email from Ryanair stating that I could transfer to another flight or cancel for a full refund. But this email was sent while we were in the air so what was the point?
I emailed them the next day to claim £20 for food but I heard nothing back, I don't have receipts so might be why.
Is it worth pursuing? It's not even the money that annoyed me, it was the lack of Ryanair staff around and the lack of information!

Just because other airlines operate in severe and dangerous weather conditions does not mean all of them must for your convenience.
I'll also guarantee that at any airport apart from Dublin you will not find any Ryanair staff apart from aircraft crew, they are all handling agents who are employed on the basis of the lowest bidder and have no authority to do anything in cases of disruption.
And yes you need receipts if you want to claim for meals etc.0 -
hi there looking for some much needed advise. myself and my family were due to fly back from tenerife on tuesday but our flights were cancelled on arrival to the airport
i was told the next available flight would be thursday to a diffrent airport than originally booked !! we have children and was told that even tho the flights wernt till thursday ryan air could not help any of us regarding food drink accomodation even tho i told them i only had 40 euros on me and no debit card as the monies was transfered onto our currency card !! i asked at the desk 5 times for help for the children and each time i was told no !! after 8 hours in the airport my mum thankfully booked us on another flight to manchester (a 2 and half hour journey away from our house) just so i could get home this was a awful experience for my family we felt neglected and stranded in a foreign country any advise as to what i need to do next would be very much appreciated

Hi I was hoping for some advice- I was due to fly from Barcelona - Prestwick this morning with Ryanair but it has been cancelled! They have basically said we need to fly to Liverpool tomorrow then get our own way to Prestwick at our expense-- surely this is not right!?? They have put the whole flight up in a hotel 45mins away in Saladell but no mention of food costs either. Where do we stand- surely Ryanair is responsible to get us to our chosen destination!? Their website and the attachment via email states that they would either make arrangements or reimburse our travel to chosen destination!! HELP!??
Further to my last post above...After Ryanair transferring us 45 mins away and putting us up in a hotel in Sabadell, they said we needed to be ready 4hrs before our flight to Liverpool the next morning. So over 100 people gradually made there way to the lobby for 8:30-9am only to be told by reception that Ryanair had called them to tell us we had to make our own way to airport--absolute disgrace, and this was at a cost of 70Euros. Thankfully our flight left on time, pity it took us to Liverpool and not Prestwick but we were passed caring! When we arrived there, I had to hire a car at a cost of £177 to drive back to Preswick, drop off hire car, then pick my own car up. We eventually got home at 10pm last night- around 31 hours later than we would have done!! I have kept receipts for meals on the extra night, food at airport, taxi journey to airport, and the car hire. So whats my best means of attack as I am probably around £300 out of pocket plus the delays and hassle!??!
Thanks in advance.
