Many thanks for all the useful advice here - I was delayed 6 hours coming back from Slovakia on Sunday. Put in a Resolver claim using my mobile on Sunday evening. Had an offer of settlement by lunchtime today.0

Hi
I was hoping anyone had any insight for me. I put a flight compensation request to Ryanair today via resolver and within a couple of hours they granted my request and provided me with a link to provide my bank details, the link was ryanair complaint tracker.
This might sound stupid but im just a bit dubious this is legit, this was the fasted response ive ever received (for this type of compliant) and got the outcome i wanted. Has anyone else had an outcome like this or know if the link is legit? (cant post the link as im a new user). Im assuming resolver is completely legit an im not being scammed.
Any help would be great i just worry about providing bank details online unless completely necessary.0 -
My Ryanair flight was cancelled and I had to rebook (FOC) to fly from a different airport, the flight time being 6 hours later.
I am currently filling in the ryan air compensation form, as we had to hire a car and other associated costs, but can I also claim for the delayed flight as well?0 -
I will try to keep this brief. Had delayed flight May 2015. Been on Resolver since November 2015. Was offered £1,600 30th November for a total of ten people. In my calculations this is less than the €250 we are entitled to, but I would have taken it had it been forthcoming. Needless to say it wasn't sent. Rang Ryanair multiple times and was just hung up on. Sent them a NBA last week asking for €250 x 10 at current exchange rate equaling £1,900 odd + interest. Today I have an email from them offering me £1,500. No method of replying to email just link to add bank details. Should I just accept or continue to pursue through courts? Will I be looked upon unfavourably if I refuse this settlement? Any input/advice is appreciated.0

Interest will only be paid if awarded by a court, and even then its not a certainty,
Think of it this way its about 40 quid each of a difference, is it worth the court hassle for 40 quid? They are in the wrong and chances are you would win in court but the interest isn't a certainty, you may have to go to court in Ireland, (ive read of other cases were people did) is it worth the hassle for £400 -

Why would they have to go to court in Ireland? Using ESCP this should not be required at all.
obeknight - are you claiming for any children? Ryanair maybe trying to exclude these. If you paid anything ofr kids, including an admin fee, they are also due compensation. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

On the other hand, the amount payable is a fixed statutory amount, not for negotiation or haggling.

I don't know the ins and outs of that, I just know that I have seen reports of people having to go to Ireland against Ryanair0 -
No not claiming for any children, group of ten male adults. Was a ten hour delay coming home from a stag do in Bratislava to Stansted. We'd been away four days so as you can imagine we were all pretty done for and the ten hours was not needed.
I don't really want the hassle of court and the further months wait for our money, but I also don't like the now lower amount I'm being offered, why do they feel they can take the mick? I am a stubborn person, but guess it's as glen said, my choice on whether I want to fully pursue it for £40 a head.0 -
Well I have bitten the bullet and just entered my bank details into their complaints tracker so we'll see if they are forthcoming with the figure offered. Many thanks for the replies guys.0
