Flight delay and cancellation compensation, BA ONLY

Justice is right and this is something BA have done many times before, it cuts no ice tho. Usually CEDR don't agree with them and find in the passengers favour, so thats the route I would recommend.
You may have to wait 6 weeks or ask BA for a deadlock letter to get things moving a bit quicker.
Good luck. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
Usual airline !!!!!!!!.
I think airlines now employ more claims staff to conjure up !!!!!!!! excuses than are employed in actually settling valid claims,If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Does anyone have any idea of how long BA normally take to pay the compensation into the bank. Is it days, weeks, months...!!!
I had the email on Friday 7th confirming that compensation would be paid and that instructions for a bank transfer had been given. But as of today Weds 12th there's no payment, and I've no idea of how long the process should take.
If anyone has had any experience of this, I would appreciate some idea of timescale (I've asked BA but no response!).

'passed the initial case intake review. In accordance with the Rules, British Airways has 15 working days to:
Attempt to settle the dispute with the customer via this platform (Rule 4.2)
Object to adjudication on grounds of eligibility (Rule 4.3)
Submit your written Defence to the claim (Rule 4.4)'
Whilst that's great news presumably BA will still fight it? Do they normally?
I'll be very frustrated if they do as Customer Services ground staff at both ends indicated it was a foregone conclusion and the manner the crew landed the plane was the worst two very experienced fliers had ever experienced - with definitely a feeling they were attempting to circumvent the three hour window.
CEDR success.
Thanks to those on here that helped it's really appreciated.0 -
Blimey that was quick. CEDR have only had your submission for 3 weeks? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

We were due to fly out of LGW with BA on 3/11 at 16.45 to JFK for my 50th Birthday. When we got up at 9am that morning I had received a text saying our flight had been cancelled and we had been transferred to a flight with American airlines at LHR for 15.55. Our car had been booked in at LGW so as we was would coming back there we had to book a transfer both ways which cost £160. I have submitted this claim to BA and they have rejected my claim and offered £50 as a goodwill gesture.
The flight change was not down to us so feel that they should cover the expenses. Has anyone else had this issue and what did you do to get a refund? Thanks0 -
Your contract with the airline was a flight from London , which they have honered0
