What about witnesses and expert evidence, if its just me I tick no and no then 1 witness as myself, I assume this is ok, I shouldnt be asking my partner to could should I as she will say exactly the same as me ?

Ive spoke since to the courts helpline about something else, they said fill both out...Im just confused why i need to fill out 2 that ive received one for each claimant if im going to be the only one who is representing in court? Will they expect us both in Court ?

Hi thanks to martin's template letter and Vauban's Guide I have had success
on the 29th June I sent off a compensation claim for a delay of over 16 hours Egypt to Cardiff and after having no response to my emails and letter I contacted the caa on the 27th august and I have received a cheque from Thomson today.

Sorry I just need a but of guidance please but am a little confused. Just returned on a Thomson Flight this weekend which arrived from Dalaman to Manchester 6 hours late. Can I still make a claim given that we flew from Turkey ?

I have read the guide but just wanted to make sure.

Any advice appreciated.

Yes you can claim ( Travelling to an EU member state on an airline based in an EU member state ) as long as the delay was not caused by an Extra ordinary circumstance.

Can you give us the details of the flight and the reason for the delay.

Thanks for the reply Justice.

We weren't given any real explanation, the communication was terrible. We had a notice at the hotel to say flight was delayed and that coaches were now coming at least 4 hours later.

Unfortunately we had booked a private transfer so had to leave the hotel at the time booked.

When we eventually got on the plane,m the Captain apologised and said there had been some issues with other aircraft which had resulted in a plane being taken out of service and it had a knock on effect on other flights. He apologised for the lack of communication at the airport.

We eventually arrived at Manchester 6 hours late.

Saturday 19th September 15. Dalaman to Manchester due to arrive at 01.40 but arrived 7.45 but didn't get on stand as there were no gates available so it stopped off stand at 7.54
