    Hooray ! Its over :j

    Just a quick update......after almost 18months, many knock back letters and verbal slatings via telephone from Thomsons ("you WILL NOT get any compensation for a knock on so forget it !") I paid our cheque in the bank yesterday !!

    I filed a claim through court, they started off saying that they would defend it, didn't, so judgement was passed. I had to email to chase the payment but it did come as promised along with all court costs and interest at 8%

    Whoohoooooooo :T:rotfl::T

    Don't give up.......carry on fighting !

    Fantastic news mitzi. Looks like Thomson are getting slack/giving up in some cases. Its not going to look good on the company report with numerous CCJs......

  • Hi,

    Was anybody here on flight TOM049, expected to depart Cancun on 25/06/2014 to London Gatwick? Delay of just over 17hrs.

    Does anybody have a contact telephone number for the legal department?

    Every time I call, i'm put on hold for ages and then the person I speak to barely understands what my claim is and then tells me to email the after sales or legal department who then do not respond.

    Hi everyone, I finally have some good news to report.
    Thomson have finally agreed to pay out compansation. Default Judgement was issued after Thomson failed to reply to Mcol .
    Could not have done it without the help of forum members. I would particularily like to thank VAUBAN , LEGAL MAGPIE, TYZAP, NOVICE ANGEL, and not forgetting SMARTLY.
    Without the encouragement and support from these wonderful people i would have given up ( and nearly did).
    So a big 'thank you' to all of you.

    Well done you. Like I said earlier, Thomson seem to have dropped the ball somewhat....

    Hello to all on the forum, I am a newbie and have a question for all you experts.

    I have started a claim against Thomson by filling in there online form and got the expected rejection letter back. I am claiming for the delay on TOM3550 Leeds/Bradford to Corfu on 16/8/13 of 4hours 17minutes. There extraordinary circumstances fob off is stated as adverse weather conditions from the previously scheduled flight which after reading Vauban's excellent guide I know makes no difference to my claim. Also in the letter they note regarding the Commission report ....... 13. Damage to the aircraft which could affect safety etc. etc. What I am hoping you could help me out with is how can I find out about the previous flight ie. where it flew from , weather conditions etc. I know the next step is a LBA but the more info I have that my claim is worth persuing the better I will feel. Thanks in advance
