Flight delay and cancellation compensation, Tui/Thomson ONLY

Seems to me the guy was trying to help plus the questions you were asking had been answered many times before. Arrogant? Possibly but don't under estimate the help that is available on the forum as unless you know better there are not an abundance of other forums where people are prepared to battle/help with the David v Goliath (individual -v- airlines) situation that currently exists.


I don't know how you close your account ... maybe do a search.

Just found this thread after returning from Cancun last week and enduring a 6 hour delay with Thomson.

I sent my letter (taken from the CAA's website) along with copies of boarding passes, tickets etc and now await Thomson's response.

Will update when I hear from them. Some great advice on this thread, will have to read through it all when I get home from work.

If it was the TOM175 flight to Manchester on 28th, I was on that flight (eventually). Apparently, they gave our plane to some delayed passengers on the Gatwick flight because of bad weather in London.

This decision cost me a fortune, so of course I am considering a claim. I'd like this opportunity to ask anyone where this leaves us in regard to the 'Bad Weather' get out clause, as the weather was fine in Manchester?

Yes it was that flight groomys!

We weren't given a reason for the delay so thanks for the info. I'll be interested to see what their response is then and whether or not we'll be able to pursue claims.

Hi, we flew home from Egypt back to Bristol last year and we were delayed by 26hours and fourth minutes. This was due to the aircraft operating suffered a technical problem whilst in Sharm El Sheik. A part was required from the UK, and the flight was therefore operated at the earliest opportunity the following day. I did send a letter template last year and Thomson rejected the claim( I have destroyed their response) . is it worth sending another letter, advice please
