It would appear TUI don't respond to Resolver.
Good luck with MSE updating that.
We generally advocate downloading Vauban's guide and using template letters there.
Resolver is just an extended letter writing exercise that you can do yourself in half the time using Vauban's guide.

Mandy 68 advice has been given it is now time to issue a letter before action otherwise you will get nowhere.
Sent all the relevant letters with no joy , even the notice before action, and they didn't even reply, in hands of a solicitor now

Hi Mandy, did you try the CEDR route or just the NBA and then send to a solicitor.

If the CEDR route doesn't work I'd probably go to Small claims court myself to get the issue resolved as when I win TC then have to pay my costs as well.

Hopefully it won't go down the route of the Austrian Debacle where the Bailiffs threatened to impound a plane if they didnt pay up lol

Bailiffs and Sheriffs have been to several airlines in the UK in the past, not just Austria.

Saw a program on Tv I Think it was called something like send in the sheriffs who went to Luton and seized an EasyJet plane. I think there is a flight book which stays with the aircraft at all times and the sheriffs just removed it meaning the plane cannot fly.

  • Hello, myself and my girlfriend had a flight back from Hurghada (Egypt) cancelled on Monday 6th August, that was due to fly at 22.00pm Egyptian time. We were not given any vouchers in the airport and we were unable to locate a Thomas Cook rep until we got outside the terminal building at 12.30am. We were put up in a hotel from 2am till 8.45am on the morning of Tuesday 7th August, our flight was rescheduled for 13.00pm on the afternoon of the 7th of August. We were cancelled due to technical issues with the incoming plane having to divert into Luxor, by the time they reached hurghada the pilot and cabin crew had reached the maximum hours of work they were allowed to do. On arrival at Manchester airport we were given claim information letters from reps, I’ve submitted the claim on 9th August, it’s now 20 days and nobody has got back to myself, I know it can take up to 28 days but I find this fairly poor that Thomas Cook have not had the decency to update us on the process. I have been delayed before 3 years ago with Flybe and we was paid out within two days ! I’ve looked at Bottonline who calculated we are entitled to compensation of around €600 each, is this fairly accurate from them? I’m not holding my breathe here as Thomas Cook seem a nightmare and it’ll be the last time we fly with them. Any advice or timeframe possible? Thanks.

Bott and Co will tell anyone delayed more than 3 hours that they are due compensation IME, whether they are or they aren't. That said, based on what you've said it sounds like a slam-dunk case since technical issues are almost never extraordinary.
